1. THE REALITY OF RELIGIOUS EXPERIENCE
103:0.1 (1129.1) ALL truly religious responses of man are early sponsored by the ministry of the adjutant of worship and censored by the adjutant of wisdom. The first supramental endowment of man is the circuiting of his personality in the Holy Spirit of the Creative Spirit of the universe; and long before the bestowals of the divine Sons and the universal bestowal of the Adjusters, this influence works to enlarge men’s view of ethics, religion, and spirituality. Following the bestowals of the Paradise Sons, the liberated Spirit of Truth makes its mighty contribution to increasing the human capacity to perceive religious truths. As evolution proceeds on an inhabited world, the Thought Adjusters are more and more involved in the development of the higher types of human religious clairvoyance. The Thought Adjuster is the cosmic window through which a finite creature can gain, through faith, insight into the certain and divine aspects of limitless Deity, the Universal Father.
(1129.2) The religious tendencies of the human races are innate; they manifest themselves universally and have an apparently natural origin; primitive religions are always evolutionary in their genesis. As natural religious experience continues to progress, periodic revelations of truth punctuate the course of planetary evolution, which otherwise would progress only slowly.
On Urantia today there are four kinds of religions:
1. Natural or evolutionary religion.
2. Supernatural or revelatory religion.
3. Common religion or practice involving a variable mixture of natural and supernatural religions.
4. Philosophical religions, theological doctrines elaborated by men or imagined by philosophy, and created by reason.
This introduction tries to show us how religion has worked on our earth our planet. Certainly, there were initially two essential faculties in the human being developed by the Holy Spirit: the adjutant of adoration and the adjutant of wisdom.
In studying the Super-Universe, we encounter the Censors, who bring the final reflection into all the constellations. The adjutant of wisdom comes to increase the power of the adjutant of worship. These two adjutants are really the elements that give power to the manifestations on earth- This was given by the Holy Spirit to humans, i.e. the Divine Minister of the Local Universe, the companion of Jesus for our local universe, as in all universes.
Later, the Spirit of Truth which is under the influence of Paradise comes to increase the work of the Holy Spirit and to give religion the possibility of functioning better. The influence of the Holy Spirit increases the result. The whole of Deity contains the search for God which is even more powerful in the minds of humans. The tendency to seek God emerges in human beings as morality and adjutants appear. This is what is important, because sometimes sociologists and anthropologists are mistaken about the origin of religion. In the human being it is spontaneous, as the adjutant consciousness and the moral life of the personality are spontaneous. Human beings do not even have to seek religion, it is God who creates this tendency. Religion is innate among the human races. It is important to note this, because there have been philosophical discussions with the point of view of sociology, is religion a human creation or is it men who made religion?
Philosophy of religion
The Reality of Religious Experience
103:1.1 (1129.8) The unity of religious experience among the members of a social or racial group derives from the identity of nature of the fragments of God which inhabit the individuals. It is this divine in men that gives rise to their selfless interest in the welfare of other men. But because personality is unique—no two mortals are ever alike—it inevitably follows that no two human beings can interpret the directions and promptings of the divine spirit that dwells in their minds in the same way. Members of a group of mortals may experience spiritual unity, but can never attain philosophical uniformity. This diversity of interpretation of religious thought and experience is demonstrated by the fact that twentieth-century theologians and philosophers formulated more than five hundred different definitions of religion. In reality, each human being defines religion in terms of his own interpretation based on the experience of divine impulses emanating from the indwelling spirit of God. This interpretation is necessarily unique and completely different from the religious philosophy of all other human beings.
Simply, (there are three big ideas in there) that the tendency to want to do good to human beings comes from the adjusters there and bet that the personalities are different, the way of feeling each one’s relationship with God, there is the same kind of divinity in everyone, the personalities make the religious philosophies different. If anyone has found God, let him tell about it. Even if the way of the person by whom he knew him is different from mine, yes, as soon as he speaks about it, I understand. The philosophy of religion varies from person to person. But at bottom it is the expression of one and the same fact, the Adjuster is at work! This is where human brotherhood comes from!
103:1.2 (1130.1) When a mortal is in full agreement with the religious philosophy of another mortal, the phenomenon indicates that these two beings have had a similar religious experience in matters pertaining to their similarity of philosophical interpretation of the religion.
103:1.3 (1130.2) Although your religion is a matter of personal experience, it is very important that you become acquainted with a large number of other religious experiences (the various interpretations of different mortals) in order to prevent your life religious to become egocentric — narrow, selfish and unsociable.
Sharing with others is really important, sharing is beneficial for all.
103:1.4 (1130.3) Rationalism is wrong when it claims that religion is first a primitive belief in something, followed by the pursuit of values. Religion is first and foremost a search for values which then formulates a system of interpretative beliefs. It is much easier for men to agree on religious values — on goals — than on beliefs — on interpretations. This explains how it is that religion can accept values and purposes while exhibiting the disturbing phenomenon of continuing to admit hundreds of contradictory beliefs — creeds. It also explains why a given person can continue their religious experience while giving up or changing many of their religious beliefs. The religion persists despite revolutionary changes in religious beliefs. It is not theology that produces religion, it is religion that gives birth to theological philosophy.
Creeds…? These are dogmas! The interpretations of religion put in relation for the other, it does not work anymore!
103:1.5 (1130.4) That many erroneous things have been believed by religionists does not invalidate religion, for it is founded on the recognition of values and validated by the faith of personal religious experience. Religion is then based on experience and religious thought; theology, philosophy of religion, is an honest attempt to interpret this experience; such interpretive beliefs can be right or wrong, or be a mixture of truth and error.
As long as it is interpretation, it is not lived.
103:1.6 (1130.5) The conscious recognition of spiritual values is an experience which transcends ideation. No human language has a word for the “sensation”, “feeling”, “intuition” or “experience” which we have chosen to call God consciousness. The indwelling spirit of God is not personal — the Adjuster is prepersonal — but this Monitor has a value and a fragrance of divinity which are personal in the highest and infinite sense of the word. If God were not at least personal, he could not be conscious, and if he were not conscious, he would be below the human.
Transcend the ideation – it doesn’t mean anything – that it goes much further than the idea. The individual will understand more and more what personality is. It is an influence that penetrates the personality, it is he himself who gave himself his personality, but God while having his personality, he is much more than that. It gives the personality what it expects. Which gives an effect impossible to define, but what happiness! God is more than personal, he is pre-personal, but the word is difficult to understand, the formulation is really very difficult; you have to come to terms with that.
2. Religion and the individual
103:2.1 (1130.6) Religion is functional in the human mind. It is realized in experience before appearing in human consciousness. A child exists about nine months before experiencing birth. But the “birth” of religion is not sudden; it is rather a gradual emergence. Nevertheless, sooner or later there is a “birthday”. One does not enter the kingdom of heaven without being “born again”—born of the Spirit. Many spiritual births are accompanied by great spiritual anguish and marked psychological disturbances, just as many physical births are characterized by “laborious labors” and other abnormalities of “deliverance.” Other spiritual births represent a normal and natural growth in the recognition of supreme values with an enhancement of spiritual experience, although no religious development occurs without conscious effort and positive, individual resolutions. Religion is never a passive experience, a negative attitude. What is called the “birth of religion” is not directly associated with so-called conversion experiences, which usually characterize religious episodes occurring later in life as a result of mental conflicts, emotional repressions, or temperamental upheavals.
It is when we seek God and we do not yet have, that we ask ourselves questions, that we have anxieties, it is a crisis that takes place in us.
This birth is accompanied by great anguish, because we do not yet have a precise idea about God! What will he do? what would i be? These are worries, it gives a crisis in his head, the crisis that takes place during a spiritual birth – But, generally, human beings can have this birth without anguish or crises. Those who remain stuck on the material, it is naturally a little more difficult, making a change at this level can lead to fear. And for those who pit the material against the spiritual, the angst can be relived. The transformation can be done without anxiety, because the material does not oppose the spiritual, it is the human being who opposes!
103:2.2 (1131.1) But those who have been brought up by their parents to grow up in the consciousness of being children of a loving heavenly Father should not look with malevolence upon their fellow mortals who have no been able to achieve the consciousness of communion with God only by going through a psychological crisis, an emotional upheaval.
Emotional upheaval was the case with Gautama Sidarta and St. Paul. The latter grew up in a family where the parents had a good approach to God and the Jewish religion.
103:2.3 (1131.2) The evolutionary soil of the human mind in which the seed of revealed religion germinates is the moral nature which so early gives birth to social consciousness. The first promptings of a child’s moral nature do not relate to sexuality, guilt, or personal pride, but rather to impulses of justice and fairness, a need for benevolence—for helpful ministry to one’s companions. When such early moral awakenings are nurtured, there is a gradual development of religious life, relatively free of conflict, upheaval and crisis.
This story of guilt that we already give them in the cradle, it’s really terrible.
103:2.4 (1131.3) Every human being very early experiences some kind of conflict between his self-centered impulses and his altruistic impulses, and many times his first experience of God-consciousness may come from his search for a superhuman help in resolving such moral conflicts.
103:2.5 (1131.4) The psychology of a child is naturally positive, not negative. So many people are negative as a result of their upbringing. When we ay that children are positive, we speak of their moral impulses, of those mental powers whose appearance signals the arrival of the Adjuster.
The psychology of a child is naturally positive, not negative! D.C.
103:2.6 (1131.5) In the emergence of religious consciousness and in the absence of bad teachings, the mind of a normal child moves positively toward moral righteousness and social ministry, rather than deviating negatively of sin and guilt. There may or may not be conflict in the development of religious experience, but the inevitable decisions, efforts and functions of the human will are always present.
103:2.7 (1131.6) Moral choice is usually more or less accompanied by moral conflict, and this very first conflict in the child’s mind is between the impulses of selfishness and the impulses of selflessness. The Thought Adjuster takes into account the value of selfish personality motives, but manages to assign a slight preference to altruistic impulses which lead to the goal of human happiness and the joys of the kingdom of heaven.
103:2.8 (1131.7) When a moral being chooses to be selfless in the face of an incitement to selfishness, he is having a primitive religious experience. No animal can make such a choice; this decision is both human and religious. It embraces the fact of God-consciousness and shows the impulse toward social service, the basis of the brotherhood of man. When, by an act of free will, the mind chooses a right moral judgment, that decision constitutes a religious experience.
103:2.9 (1131.8) However, before a child has developed sufficiently to acquire the moral capacity, hence to be able to choose altruistic service, he has already developed a strong and well-unified selfish nature. It is this factual situation that gives rise to the theory of the struggle between the “higher” and “lower” natures, between the “old man of sin” and the “new nature” of grace. Very early in life, a normal child begins to learn that it is “more blessed to give than to receive.”
103:2.10 (1131.9) Man tends to identify his self, his ego, with his urge to serve himself. In contrast, he tends to identify the will to be altruistic with an influence outside of himself—with God. Verily, this judgment is right, for all such altruistic desires do have their origin in the guidance of the indwelling Thought Adjuster, and that Adjuster is a fragment of God. The impulse of the Mind Monitor is elt in human consciousness as the tendency to be altruistic, to think fraternally; it is at least the first and fundamental experience of the child’s mind. When the growing child fails to unify his personality, the altruistic drive can become so hypertrophied that it seriously impairs the well-being of the ego. A conscience that lacks discernment can become responsible for many conflicts, worries and sorrows, and endless human misfortunes.
It is a text with clear chapters and it is also Melchizedek of Nebadon who transmitted it to us and really it is very clear.
3. Religion and the human race
103:3.1 (1132.1) Although belief in spirits, dreams, and various other superstitions have all played a part in the evolutionary origin of primitive religions, one should not overlook the influence of clan or the spirit of fellowship tribal. Group relations have represented a social situation exactly homologous with that which brought about the conflict between egoism and altruism in the moral nature of the primitive human mind. Despite their belief in spirits, Australian Aborigines still focus their religion on the clan. Over time, these religious concepts tend to personalize, first in the form of animals, and later in the form of a superman or a God. Even the lower races, such as the African Bushmen, who do not even believe in totems, recognize a difference between self-interest and collective interest, a primitive distinction between secular values and sacred values. But the social group is not the source of religious experience. Regardless of the influence of all these primitive contributions to man’s original religion, the fact remains that the true religious impulse has its origin in genuine spiritual presences which activate the will to be altruistic.
103:3.2 (1132.2) The primitive belief in natural wonders and mysteries, impersonal mana, portends later religion. Sooner or later, however, evolving religion requires the individual to make some personal sacrifice for the good of his social group, to do something to make other people happier and better. Ultimately, religion is destined to become the service of God and of men.
103:3.3 (1132.3) Religion is made to alter the environment of man, but much of the religion of mortals today has become impotent to do so. to arrive at. Too often, it is the environment that has dominated the religion (see the church and the mosques).
103:3.4 (1132.4) Remember that in religion of all ages the most important experience is feeling concerning moral values and social meanings, not thought concerning theological dogmas or philosophical theories. Religion evolves favorably at the same time as the element of magic is replaced by the concept of morality.
103:3.5 (1132.5) The evolution of man has passed through the superstitions of mana, magick, nature worship, fear of spirits, and animal worship, to arrive at the various ceremonies by which attitudes individual nuns have become the collective reactions of the clan. Ceremonies then became focused and crystallized into tribal beliefs, and eventually these fears and beliefs became personalized into gods. But, in all this religious evolution, the moral element has never been totally absent. The impulse of God in man has always been strong. These powerful influences – one human and the other divine – have ensured the survival of religion through the vicissitudes of the ages, although it has very often been threatened with annihilation by a thousand subversive tendencies and hostile antagonisms.
4. Spiritual Communion
103:4.1 (1133.1) The characteristic difference between a social meeting and a religious gathering is that, in contrast to the former, the latter is imbued with an atmosphere of fellowship. In this way, human association engenders a sense of community with the divine, and this is the beginning of communal worship. Sharing a common meal was the first type of social fellowship, and therefore early religions made provision for part of the ceremonial sacrifice to be consumed by the faithful. Even in Christianity, the Lord’s Supper retains this mode of fellowship. The atmosphere of communion provides a restful and comforting period of respite from the conflict of self-centeredness with the selfless pressure of the inner Spirit Monitor. And this is the prelude to true worship — the practice of the presence of God which manifests itself in the arising of the brotherhood of man.
(That is what we should be aiming for in our meetings!)
103:4.2 (1133.2) When primitive man felt his fellowship with God had been severed, he resorted to sacrifice of some kind in an effort of atonement to restore friendly relations. Hunger and thirst for righteousness lead to the discovery of truth, and truth increases ideals, and this creates new problems for individual religionists. Indeed, our ideals tend to grow in geometric progression, while our ability to live up to them increases only in arithmetic progression.
The conception of ideals is fast, but their application is slow, that is what he means here.
103:4.3 (1133.3) The sense of guilt (not the consciousness of sin) arises either from the interruption of spiritual communion or from the lowering of moral ideals. You can only get out of this predicament by realizing that your highest ideals are not necessarily synonymous with the will of God. Man cannot hope to live up to his highest ideals, but he can be true to his intention to find God and become more and more like him.
103:4.4 (1133.4) Jesus swept away all ceremonies of sacrifice and atonement. He destroyed the basis of all this fictional guilt and feeling of isolation in the universe by proclaiming that man is a child of God. The creature-Creator relationship was placed on a child-parent basis. God becomes a loving Father to his mortal sons and daughters. All ceremonies that are not a legitimate part of this intimate family relationship are abrogated forever.
103:4.5 (1133.5) God the Father does not treat man, his child, on the basis of his actual virtues or merits, but recognizing the motives of the child—creature purpose and intent . It is a parent-child relationship, and this partnership is driven by divine love.
Parent-child relationships, from my point of view, this also lends itself to ambiguity, perhaps it should be clarified. With us, the parent-child relationship is of course a love relationship, and really, human beings must also love God and God necessarily loves them, so we can transpose it in this way based only on love. This is what he means, that Jesus compared the relationship of human beings with God to that of parents and their child. But obviously, the quality of comparison is love. Thus, it can be accepted whatever the relations of parents and children are sometimes “hot”, there are ruptures and there are rejections. If only by holding on to what should be. It is the love that should exist between parents and children. Love in the sense that the child always presents his necessary demands to his parents and they will satisfy them as long as it is reasonable.
5. The origin of ideals
103:5.1 (1133.6) The primitive evolutionary mind gives rise to a sense of social duty and moral obligation derived primarily from emotional fear. The more positive tendency to social service and altruistic idealism derive from the direct impulse of the divine spirit indwelling the human mind.
103:5.2 (1133.7) The idea-ideal of doing good to others—the impulse to deny the ego something for the benefit of one’s neighbor—is at first very circumscribed. Primitive men consider as their neighbors only those very close to them, those who are good neighbors with them. As religious civilization progresses, the concept of the notion of neighbor expands to encompass the clan, the tribe, the nation. Then Jesus expands the notion of neighbor to embrace all of humanity, going so far as to say that we should love our enemies. And there is something inside every normal human being that tells them that this teaching is moral — right. Even those who least put this ideal into practice admit that it is correct in theory.
This is an idea of humans and it is not obvious, we feel something in us that seems to be there and we feel it is right. For this we continue to seek, even if we are only a reader. When human beings have understood, they admit that it is better to be in solidarity with others than to take care of them, my own safety depends on it. When you are far from people, help does not come immediately, so the fact that the human being becomes a social being also contains the fact that he understands this moral value. There is need for others and therefore to serve them. This moral and social attitude is practically what human beings do, we will see later by studying social evolution, and it is even on the basis of security, it predates religion. Human beings need security. This we knew and even now, this goes through the genes.
103:5.3 (1134.1) All men recognize the morality of this universal human impulse to selflessness and altruism. Humanists attribute the origin of this impulse to the natural action of the material mind. Religionists more correctly recognize that the truly selfless impulse of the human mind is a response to the inner spiritual guidance of the Thought Adjuster.
103:5.4 (1134.2) The human interpretation of the primitive conflicts between egocentric will and heterocentric will cannot always be trusted. It takes a personality well enough unified to arbitrate the multifaceted disputes between the appetites of the ego and the emerging social conscience. Our self has rights as well as our neighbour. Neither can claim to exclusively monopolize the attention and service of the individual. Failure to solve this problem gives rise to the most primitive types of human feelings of guilt.
103:5.5 (1134.3) The attainment of human happiness requires the selfish desire of self and the altruistic pressure of the higher self (the divine spirit) to be co-ordinated and reconciled by the unified will of the integrating and supervising personality. . The minds of evolutionary men are always faced with the complex problem of mediating the contests between the natural expansion of emotional impulses and the moral growth of altruistic impulses based on spiritual insight—on genuine religious reflection.
Moussa: What he is trying to say here, that a human being is first of all a human-ME before dealing with God. This human being has natural needs. Eating, drinking, sleeping, dressing, sexual reactions, these are things that are part of his being. So his ego naturally has needs that even necessarily justify his existence and this human being evolves in the social context, first of all in the family where morality, that is to say, what he wants to be emerges in him. And this family and social life expands the Being, he always has his needs for his ego, I need to love a child and to be loved by him. I need a society to serve people and in return the people who serve me. …So there are always rights to love that cannot be erased, otherwise life no longer has any meaning. However, when it comes to the Adjuster now, it is a matter of adding further value. If I am not first of all a being aware of this, of the needs that have to be satisfied, if I am not a moral being with needs to love and to be loved by my fellow human beings, family and society, if I does not exist so. The Adjuster encounters nothing! When the Adjuster encounters natural rights of my existence, it must respond. When I know God and the children I love, I also recognize the Adjusters who will grow. Thus, there are no conflicts between parental humans and spiritual love. When I know the beings in society and I serve them through my profession, and when I really know them, I like to serve them even more. When things are well presented, we understand that everyone receives their rights and recognizes the same for others. It’s when you don’t know how to do it and understand it that it poses difficult problems, but when you really know how to design it, when you recognize the two, or even the three elements, life can go better.
Yes, but the following sentence causes problems for people:
103:5.6 (1134.4) The attempt to do as much good to oneself as to the greatest number of other selves presents a problem which cannot always be satisfactorily solved within a framework of space-time.
(Yes, it’s still easy to solve: But by coming here, I’m really doing it for me; it’s really with this that I realized that there, I’m really allowing myself one thing for myself, that Moussa: Yes, and by doing it for yourself, you are doing it for your Adjuster as well! are waiting. There is no conflict when we know the things that work together and follow each other in time.)
In an eternal life such antagonisms may be resolved, but in a short human life they have no solution. Jesus was referring to this paradox when he said, “Whoever saves his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for kingdom sake will find it. »
Moussa: Yes, yes, I know that human beings can arrive at stability very early in their life, if they are well helped, both concerning their rights to be and that of the Adjuster. They are in full balance. Maybe he’s talking here about a man who is low to the ground, when even for people who want to make an effort and who have benefited from a certain framework, it is doable. It speaks of Jesus who received the intervention of his brother, the celestial Emmanuel, at the age of 12. It is believed that he grew up on his own like that, but beware, there are things back that we know. It was Emmanuel who told him: now take care of our father’s business! So if human beings were given such an injection, it would work well.
If Melchizedec wants to compare Jesus to human beings, you have to put it all together. If not, a distinction must be made. Jesus is the local universe lord and a son of Michael. A man is not that! He had to get down to earth in a relatively short time to return to his work as an administrator. He couldn’t do it for 30 or 40 years. He couldn’t stay away from his local universe for long, so everything was calculated.
So, you have to be very careful not to hurt humans or really misrepresent the truth, there are humans who merged with their Adjuster long before Jesus and in fairly normal times. But when it comes to Jesus, we must accept the exceptional fact, there is still this exceptional side, that, we must not remove it! Jesus hardly had to settle disputes as human beings can have on earth. He didn’t get married, he didn’t give birth to children, he took care of his brothers and sisters, I don’t mind, but it’s different to give birth to them. It’s really not the same thing, especially when it comes to sick children. For Jesus it was well enough arranged so that he did not stay too long on earth because of his responsibilities. But to go from there to literally comparing Jesus to men is not fair.
Human beings should not be discouraged by a model that is not reproducible, that is dangerous! Even the midwayers who assisted the life of Jesus are not comparable and they say at the end: Beware that men do not live the life of Jesus, each must live his life. From this point of view, the midwayers are more reasonable than this Melchiziedek there! It should be well known that first Jesus worked for his personal account to ensure his supremacy over his 7th bestowal. He was offered the human framework, the social framework of human beings to do his job and he did it. What he added on there was not his mission, he added it himself. The LU insists a lot on the fact that it was not his real mission, it was finished.
He stayed as much because Caligastia, Adam and Eve (who are also kind of his children) wreaked havoc on this earth and he came as much to straighten things out to leave human beings a spiritual breath to carry the torch. For him, the midwayers prepared the ground until he was able to do so. So what did he leave on earth?
His entire stay here on earth has been planned so that he incarnates and accomplishes his mission.
We must not say, as is done in the text, to want to live the life of Jesus, it is exaggerated. We can work with our Adjuster like Jesus, there, okay, that’s encouraging. When we know God, we must devote ourselves to others. This was already done, before Jesus other prophets did it. How many prophets have been killed because of God? because they loved human beings and served them? So, with regard to Jesus, it must be said with a certain moderation and gentleness so as not to offend the moral conscience, the conscience of justice and equity. A little flexibility does not take away from the work of Jesus, there are many things in the life of Jesus for deep thinkers.
103:5.7 (1134.5) The pursuit of the ideal—the struggle to become like God—is a continuous effort before and after death. Life after death is not essentially different from mortal existence. Everything that we do well in this life directly contributes to enhancing the future life. True religion promotes neither moral indolence nor spiritual laziness by encouraging the vain hope that all the virtues of a noble character will be bestowed on you simply for having passed through the gates of natural death. True religion does not minimize man’s efforts to progress during his earthly life. Any human gain contributes directly to enriching the early stages of the immortal survival experience.
103:5.8 (1134.6) If man is taught that all his altruistic impulses are merely the development of his natural herd instinct, this deals a fatal blow to his idealism. On the other hand, he is ennobled and powerfully stimulated when he learns that the higher promptings of his soul emanate from the spiritual forces which inhabit his mortal mind.
103:5.9 (1134.7) When a man fully comprehends that something eternal and divine lives within him and strives there, it lifts him out of himself and beyond himself. It is thus that a living faith in the superhuman origin of our ideals validates our belief that we are the sons of God and makes real our altruistic convictions, our sense of human brotherhood.
103:5.10 (1134.8) In his spiritual realm man does possess free will. Mortal man is neither a helpless slave to the inflexible sovereignty of an almighty God, nor the victim of the hopeless fatality of mechanistic cosmic determinism. Man is truly the architect of his own eternal destiny.
103:5.11 (1135.1) Compulsion can neither save nor ennoble men. Spiritual growth emanates from within the evolving soul. Coercion can distort personality, but never stimulate growth. Even the coercion of education brings only negative relief, in that it can help prevent disastrous experiences. Spiritual growth is greatest when all external constraints are minimized. “Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. Man develops best when the pressures of home, community, church and state are less, but it should not be concluded that in a progressive society homes, social institutions, Church and State have no place.
Is it really better to develop, because from time to time when he has to surpass himself and he has to ask for more powerful help inside, it can also cause him to progress faster, is it better ? Yes, that is very true, we must simply say that the family remains necessary for human beings to be born and when he has grown up, the family must free him to experience his talents elsewhere. He cannot marry his mother or his father…, therefore, he cannot educate the children of his mother and his father, it is not possible. We must recognize his FREE WILL, his freedom to do things elsewhere. It’s the same with the church, if the church insists on the basis of religion, the church must let him have his personal experience with his free will that
103:5.12 (1135.2) When a member of a social religious group has complied with the requirements of the group, he should be encouraged to enjoy religious freedom in the full expression of his personal interpretation of the truths of religious belief and facts of religious experience. The security of a religious group depends on its spiritual unity, not on its theological uniformity. Members of a religious group should be able to enjoy the freedom to think freely without necessarily becoming “free thinkers”. Great hopes are allowed for any Church which adores the living God, which validates the brotherhood of men and which dares to release its members from all dogmatic constraint.
6. Philosophical coordination
103:6.1 (1135.3) Theology is the study of the actions and reactions of the human spirit. It can never become a science, because it always has to be more or less combined with psychology in its personal expression and with philosophy in its systematic descriptions. Theology is always the study of your religion; the study of the religion of others is psychology.
103:6.2 (1135.4) When man approaches the study and observation of his universe from without, he gives rise to the various physical sciences. When he approaches the search for himself and the universe from within, he gives origin to theology and metaphysics. The later art of philosophy develops in an effort to harmonize the many discordances which necessarily appear, at first sight, between the discoveries and the teachings of these two diametrically opposed ways of studying the universe of things and beings.
What he means: when the human being observes creation from the outside, he sees the earth, the sun, he therefore sees a whole, this is the given of science. But when he imagines creation from the center outward, he discovers that the center is spirit and that spirit now relates to the rest, which gives rise to theology and philosophy and all that we want. Now, the two points of view are different, one is material-scientific and the other philosophical-spiritual; as it is different in nature, the problem is: How to give them…? this is what is said in this paragraph. He thought about putting harmony between these two opposite points.
Art is interior to philosophy and develops in an effort to harmonize the many discordances which necessarily appear at first sight between the discoveries and the teachings of these two diametrically opposed ways of Starting from the outside in, we see the beings, the plants, we see this and that, we analyze and study their lives and then starting from the inside, there is a God who manages everything from there -down, and, it’s not the same nature as outside, but the problem is how to put these two things together.
It is exactly someone who says: the study of the human being still raises for me a conscience, a personality, a life and my free will and there, I start again to ask the question: Who made the human being? ? There is a connection between him and the one who made him! How can these two points of view be reconciled? That’s what he’s talking about. It must be uni-reliable. I seek to establish a unity between the two points of view, you know them now, it concerns the human being.
103:6.3 (1135.5) Religion is concerned with the spiritual point of view, with the awareness of the inner character of human experience. The spiritual nature of man provides him with the opportunity to turn the universe from outside to inside. It is therefore true that if all creation is viewed exclusively from within personality experience, it appears to be spiritual in nature.
It is when the human being has come to understand that his Adjuster who is in him, he is the origin of all that is the human being. So thus, the human being can interpret the Creation, therefore for him, he lives it from a spiritual point of view, the adjutants are given by God, my conscience is given by God and God gave himself to me. Therefore, the ideal, the creation, its starting point is spiritual, it is God. But the human being of science says no, he first sees a planet earth that came out of a sun, a nebula that liberated it.
103:6.4 (1135.6) When man surveys the universe analytically with the material endowments of his physical senses and associated mind perceptions, the cosmos appears to be mechanical and material-energetic. This technique of studying reality consists of turning the universe from the inside out.
103:6.5 (1135.7) A logical and coherent philosophical concept of the universe can be built neither on the postulates of materialism nor on those of spiritualism, for these two systems of thought, applied universally, necessarily give a distorted picture of the cosmos, the first having contact with a universe turned from inside out, and the second grasping the nature of a universe turned from outside to inside. Neither science nor religion alone can ever hope to arrive, in and of itself, at an adequate understanding of universal truths and relationships without being guided by human philosophy and enlightened by divine revelation.
If we limit ourselves to a point of view that creation is only physical and energy, obviously for people who know the truth, the perception is not complete. There is nevertheless a God who exists, the others say to him: You are exaggerating, physics and energy exist. The movements, the coordinations of the planets, it is before our eyes, therefore, it is necessary to put the two points of view together.
103:6.6 (1136.1) The inner spirit of man must always depend for its expression and self-realization upon the mechanism and technique of the mind. Likewise, the outer human experience of material reality is based on the mental consciousness of the experiencing personality. Therefore, spiritual and material, inner and outer human experiences are always correlated with mental function and conditioned, as to their conscious realization, by the activity of the mind. Man experiences matter in his mind. He experiences spiritual reality in his soul, but becomes aware of this experience in his mind. The intellect is the ever-present harmonizer to condition and qualify the sum total of human experience. Energy-things and spiritual values are colored by their interpretation by the mental processes of consciousness.
The inner spirit of man, that is ADJUSTER, must always depend for its expression and self-realization on the mechanism and technique of the mind. If man does not want God, God cannot manifest Himself. It is really part of human thought, this human thought which reasons which reflects, which defines, which coordinates, if God does not have this, God cannot manifest himself in time and space. It needs human thought!
Whether a human being also studies nature depends on his thought and through the thought of the adjutants, without them he cannot study matter or anything at all. The consciousness of matter, the experience of matter also depends on my thought. So, this is why inner and outer spiritual and material human experiences are always correlated with the mind. Thought always and they are conditioned. As for their conscious relations through mental activity, it is human thought that knows God and it is the same human thought that knows matter. So, the human being experiences the conscious matter of his mental experience. The human mind, the human intellect is the ever-present harmonizer to condition and qualify the sum total of human experience, material experience or spiritual experience, through our thought that we have.
Energy things, spiritual values are colored by their interpretation made by the mental processes of consciousness. So it is really thanks to consciousness that the human being who knows the two can also put the two together.
103:6.7 (1136.2) Your difficulty in co-ordinating science and religion more harmoniously arises from your complete ignorance of the intermediate realm of the morontia world of beings and things. The local universe comprises three degrees, or stages, of reality manifestation: matter, morontia, and spirit. The morontia approach irons out all discrepancies between the findings of the physical sciences and the workings of the spirit of religion. Reason is the technique of understanding science; faith is religion’s technique of clairvoyance; mota is the technique of the morontia level. Mota is a sensitivity to supermaterial reality that begins to compensate for incomplete growth; its substance is knowledge-reason and its essence is faith-clairvoyance. Mota is a super-philosophical reconciliation of divergent perceptions of reality; material personalities cannot reach it; it is based in part on the experience of having survived material life in the flesh. But many mortals have recognized the desirability of possessing a method of reconciling the reciprocal effects of the widely separated realms of science and religion. Metaphysics is the result of fruitless human efforts to cross this well-recognized chasm, but human metaphysics has brought more confusion than light. Metaphysics represents the well-intentioned but futile effort of man to compensate for the lack of morontia mota.
If human beings had evolved naturally that Caligastia had liberated the races, all those races of what had not their own, bad (animal) strains had done their God-desired work; if Adam and Eve had shed their blood enough in humanity, human beings would have mota (morontia) because these energies are not created by human, we receive them! We would already have this mota, this morontia energy within us that when we really want to look at morontia things, it is like taking a ladder and we will get there. And if we want to reach spiritual things and also material things, we would have like an elevator to go up and down. As human reason makes the reasonings, the morontia would have allowed us to make some towards the spiritual and the material, it is that which we do not have! Adam deprived us of many things! It is good to pay close attention to this.
Now, what happens in human beings? When they worship God, want to know Him, God actually creates that morontia part that is there! In the study of the soul and even the morontia soul, God installs it. He enables human beings thus equipped to come gradually to the understanding of God. They weren’t born with it, but they can be reborn with it! they’re going to be born again.
If Adam had done it, we would have it naturally. Adam no longer being there, it is our Adjuster who manufactures him. When the soul is there gradually, the spiritual can descend into the mental. So today is truly the new birth as the spiritual experience says that compensates for what we have not had and it would be important to tell humans. The difficulty you have in co-ordinating science and religion more harmoniously arises from your complete ignorance of the morontia intermediate realm of beings and things, because we did not receive it through Adam. We missed it. The local universe comprises 3 degrees or stages of reality manifestations: matter—morontia soul—spirit.
The morontia approach irons out all the discrepancies between the discoveries of the physical sciences, the functioning of the spirit – of religion otherwise there, I see with my eyes, I believe. A blind man says: I have trouble seeing, but I believe in God. Someone who has mota too will reflect towards God naturally like any mental activity. Not having it, it must of course be installed. There we analyze it completely, but in the continuations of the study we will see it more and more.
Caligastia deprived us of many things, he was a son of Michaël, Adam too! It was Michael of Nebadon who created the first Adamic couple, that is why he was so interested in human beings, because it was his two children there (creatures) who disturbed our earth. He created them! It was these two children (creatures) who treated us badly. So when the father visits the house, that the children have done a bad job, he tries to do something. They have done us great harm. This is why Michael of Nebadon asked his Father in Heaven to spend a few years on earth, to try to restore a little, not the situation, but in another way. For humans, he came to try to put the spiritual activity back a little, since everything was taken away by Caligastia and by Adam. This is his behavior, it is said a little in the Bible and in the Urantia book by the midwayers, it is said slightly. It was therefore the “children” of Michael who screwed up human beings, as Father of everyone, he was obliged to do something. This is the explanation of his 4 years that he stayed longer on earth.
People don’t read The Urantia Book specifically, you have to re-read it! As a father he felt the damage his own children did to other children and of course he tried to do something about it. He caused Caligastia to be dethroned, removed from “his throne of God” on this earth (planetary prince). Michael’s brother, Emmanuel, said to him: When you are on earth, hurry to liquidate this unjust and criminal rebellion.
He should have come to the aid of human beings a long time ago. He solved this problem in two ways, the Tuesday before his arrest. Caligastia has been removed from power and a new government has been installed on earth, human beings cannot read! The Tuesday before the Thursday of his arrest, he solved this problem. While chatting with the people of Sanadrin, the new government was installed, ruled by human beings. Now on their side, he tried for four years to console them, to straighten them up, to put them in love with God. This is what he had to settle in his business, this has nothing to do with his bestowal mission, he added four years to it to right the wrongs that his children, Caligastia and Adam, have done to us.
This is how we must understand these four years of Jesus. On the one hand, he tried to lead human beings not to cure them of their illnesses, that was not what he wanted, that’s what he wanted is to give confidence to human beings towards God. God loves you, know it well, God loves you! In those days, God punished, that’s what the Jews taught, which was not true at all. The attitude of God is only Love. So, when the Jews held back the prophets, these punishments that hit, blows, etc., it is not true, that God is not true. So, Jesus said: God loves you, that is what is true, but we also love him! But let us also love others in the same way, it is a universal fact!
He caused human beings to trust again out of love and no longer have little of God. But the Jewish religion gave a threatening God, a God who strikes. A God who chastens, a God who punishes and they themselves were killers of prophets. Jesus said to them: “You killed all the prophets who came here to Jerusalem, Jerusalem is the tomb of the prophets. Me, you will kill me, but it will stop there!
You have received the key to science, you have sat on the chair of Moses, not only are you not using it, you are not letting other peoples use it! It will be taken from you and given to the rest of the world. There you have it, the work that Jesus really did in Jerusalem, he threatened the Jews without caring about himself. Calmly, he removed Caligastia and he put another government. He taught human beings that he does not fear God, but love God. God is only Love for us and that is the true truth. We will study planetary government. It is Jesus who establishes everything, he is the head of Nebadon, he is the one who establishes everything and enthrones the governments. It is also him to go and dismiss them, everything happens under his authority as chief Michael of Nebadon. While on earth he called Satan, Lucifer and company and asked them to repent, but they refused. Before his ministry to humans ended, everything ended at the same time for these rebels. There is no more mercy for them and it was the Tuesday before his arrest that his spiritual ministry ended, that Tuesday he faced the Sanadrins, the Pharisees attacked him, he stayed until the end, it was on that day that everything was finished on earth.
But meanwhile, Caligastia was feeding its cults on humans. Caligastia was behind it all. So when Jesus finished this debate, he finished, he really judged the planet from an administrative point of view. The decision was made that Caligastia be released from the throne and installed other planetary leaders and this continues to this day. So, Jesus does this planetary work on earth and we must recognize it, but it is his work too! It is not difficult to understand the work of Jesus, but when we get lost in explanations that do not correspond to authoritative facts, we have really made trifles that have no value and no consequence. He is ruler of Nebadon and he liquidated Caligastia. So, as it is understandable by reading the other texts.
If really Adam had lived with us and we had married his children and it had progressed, the Adamic blood which is morontia blood, it comes from the system, would have brought us all that. Now there is nothing left at all. The little that passed was undeveloped. Once all the damage is removed we can just assume that maybe on earth it will come back, for now couples are held back.
Even though the indigo (African) race could not enjoy closeness to Adam, since he was in the Middle East, today they received exactly the same as the other races. We, what we know of God, we share! When we are asked for it, we give it.
103:6.8 (1136.3) Metaphysics has proved a failure; as for mota, men cannot perceive it. Revelation remains as the only technique to compensate, in a material world, for the absence of sensitivity to the truth that mota brings. Revelation authoritatively clarifies the jumble of metaphysics developed by reasoning on an evolutionary planet.
Human beings have not been able to make the connection between the physical world and the invisible. Mota means what is beyond that, that is what it means in Greek. Aristotle and so many others have spoken of this. Metamorphosis is a change that takes place without it being visible. So the men couldn’t settle this interesting thing because they don’t have the Mota. They therefore imagined and they made deductions, as we perceive when we study Greek philosophy, therefore ancient philosophy. All these metaphysics have remained suspended things, nothing illuminates in it and it is not usable as men wish it to be, they are intellectual ideas, that is all and that does not solve the problem. So human metaphysics has really failed, there is only revelation as the only technique to compensate. Revelation is God who gives himself to us and by coming, God the Father establishes what we lack, through the soul he establishes the mota and by this revelation removes this absence of the sensitivity of the truth which brings mota. This mota would have been an energy in our blood. We have morontia energy, as we have material energy, but morontia energy is not awakened we could see spirit and that would have made it much easier. But in spite of all that, there is the Adjuster who is there – The revelation clarifies with authority the jumble of metaphysics… Revelation is really the human being who manages to understand, he can and he must experience this God who is in him. God in coming brings all the mechanisms that connect matter to spirit through the soul. And if the human being continues to work on this, he himself will understand that he has an increasingly clear awareness of God.
103:6.9 (1136.4) Science is man’s attempt to study his physical surroundings, the world of energy-matter; religion is man’s experience with the cosmos of spiritual values; philosophy has been developed by the mental effort of man to organize and relate the findings of these widely separated concepts, to derive from them something like a reasonable and unified attitude towards the cosmos. At, we can speak of wisdom! philosophy is the mentally developed wisdom, Each of us must all the time seek a method for himself, a way of relating the physical human things to the divine thing) Philosophy, clarified by revelation, functions acceptably in the absence of mota and in the presence of the collapse and bankruptcy of human reasoning substitute for mota—metaphysics.
If human beings really reflect on a wisdom or a philosophy, a method, in other words, a way to find God, he can step into this side even that the mota is not in place. So humans can manage, have to manage, they will get somewhere anyway. This is what is important right now. God is the source of everything and if brothers have failed, the Father can replace the failure of the brothers. Jesus came, he replaced the bankruptcy of Caligastia with something, but God the Father who is in us and who is the source of everything can replace the bankruptcy with the mota in us and he did it too. Jesus did what he could do, but the Adjusters in us can actually give what Adam did not give us, the morontia soul mostly comes from him.
103:6.10 (1136.5) Primitive man did not differentiate between the level of energy and that of spirit. It was the men of the violet race and their Andite successors who first attempted to separate the mathematical from the volitional factors. Civilized men increasingly followed in the footsteps of the earliest Greeks and Sumerians, who distinguished between the animate and the inanimate. As civilization progresses, philosophy will have to bridge the widening chasms between the concept of spirit and the concept of energy. But in space time these divergences are unified in the Supreme.
So, really men for a long time, even before Adam, have continued to teach what is material and what is spiritual, since always. When we study Caligastia, we will see. Maybe Adamic men, Adam only lived 100 years on earth after everything went bad. So it was and the spirit animated.
Among the Greeks too, the philosophers worked on this and it really came from further than Adam, it came from Dalamatia, therefore from Caligastia. Today, people still have the same problem, you have matter but where does the Spirit begin? We indeed had our last century which was baptized “materialist”. Men are more materialistic today than ever, and they are amazed that physically they are so sick and they are more materialistic than ever So when we discuss in modern times, we discuss things again, we talk, we discuss things again, we speaks as if it’s already settled, but it’s not yet settled- He may have a few human beings who make a difference. But most of the men, it is first the money, the finances, so the problem is that. Well, we see that, but let’s be realistic! at the point where they are, matter occupies them much more than the mind. Planet earth is still very materialistic. Therefore, all this should not be read quickly, it should be read with current realities.
103:6.11 (1137.1) Science must always be grounded in reason, though imagination and guesswork help to extend its frontiers. Religion will always depend on faith, although reason brings a stabilizing influence and is a useful servant. There have always been and there always will be fallacious interpretations of the phenomena of the natural world and the spiritual world, erroneously called sciences and religions.
Of course, there will always be excesses of reflection, depending on whether we are on one side or the other. Science will say that everything comes from matter (which is incorrect), theologians will say, what science is does not make sense, God is only spirit. But it is also energy, each part wants to exclude the other and God brings it all together. These are therefore fallacious explanations. We don’t see the whole truth.
103:6.12 (1137.2) Out of his incomplete understanding of science, his weak hold on religion, and his failed attempts at metaphysics, man has attempted to construct his formulas of philosophy. In truth, modern man would build a valid and attractive philosophy of himself and his universe if the indispensable and very important metaphysical connection between the worlds of matter and spirit were not broken, metaphysics s being unable to bridge the morontia chasm between the physical and spiritual realms.
Bad as the men are, they haven’t done as much damage as Caligastia! We didn’t do as bad as him- Caligastia wanted to put the brunt of things on us, but that’s not true, the men weren’t as bad as Caligastia- The men were scared, but despite that , the man has not done as much harm as those who have done this harm. This is the problem of the human being and it is a quite a big problem. He was deprived of everything, Caligastia and Adam took everything away from him, and man took nothing away from those beings.
Mortal man lacks the concept of morontia mind and morontia matter, and revelation is the only technique to make up for this lack of conceptual data which man urgently needs in order to build a logical universe philosophy and to arrive at a satisfactory understanding of the sure and certain place it occupies in this universe.
Urgent, that’s right, it’s the revelation, the Adjuster is going to give it to me. Human beings are suffering because at this time they are unaware of this reality within them to make the joint, the Adjusters now have to wrestle with the human will. Seeking the Adjuster in the darkness and souls springing up, what’s happened to men, it’s very severe. There is nowhere that we talk about the mota, Adam really did not have time to do it after 100 years he left and 89 of his children came back. So where did his blood go? it is really insignificant. If not, what people spoke about mota and taught others? So, if it is wrong to speak of the Adamic blood when we do not even understand anything about it. It is even arrogant to claim to have Adamic blood, it is arrogant in relation to their adjusters. Their own adjuster can give it to them. This is an incorrect attitude on the part of readers of the Urantia Book who have understood nothing.
(Moussa-Doris comments>: In Philadelphia in 2005, I saw LU readers discussing ders excerpts from LU there, there was even a man who thought he was Michael! Men need something, but how can they bring? without it costing them any effort, that’s the problem. The effort in Scientology is the money you earn as long as you can work that they are interested in.)
103:6.13 (1137.3) Revelation is evolutionary man’s only hope for bridging the morontia chasm. Without the aid of mota, faith and reason cannot conceive or construct a logical universe. Without the clairvoyance of mota, the mortal cannot discern goodness, love, or truth in the phenomena of the material world.
Revelation, truly experience with the Adjuster brings this consciousness of coherence between the material world and the spiritual world. May human beings continue to journey by whatever method toward the experience of their adjuster. Truly receiving these gifts from God on the basis of their faith. It is to be more than I am. It really takes this idea of “more” to gain human consciousness. If we remain simply human, the problem is not solved. By receiving God, I must be more than I am, if I say to myself: That’s it, I am not more, therefore, I am empty, The spirit of believing is a value superior to human thought. He must clearly conceive of his being and understand that it is only God who can do this to him.
give and get to work, because no one, no one else can do it for him. There, it is the role of the teacher, it is necessary to make them understand, that it has the duty and the right to grow, but you can grow only from your being. It’s not the men who didn’t make you who are going to make you grow, you can only grow from your being. Man did not create man, man cannot make a man grow, he must therefore go to the source of his being which is God. But also to grow, it has to be of a value greater than one’s being, growing up like that is vague. You have to want to grow because growing up like that is vague. But if I know how I want to grow from the being that I am, I can pose my problem clearly and I will be able to look for the one who solves my problem.
The faith that we unpack and teach humans these are not decoys, they are ideals of being more than what they are, but there is only one that can fulfill, that is God. It must therefore be sought, no one can do it in place of another. We don’t force anyone on the contrary, we have to go, we can only support and encourage them constantly until it starts to become clear and we never take anything away from the person! It is the applicant who is the captain, it is he who commands and tells God what he wants! Because it is you, my God, who put in my being this need to be more, this more, I understand it and I want it, but it is you my God who can satisfy me!
So we are working on that. When the individual works on the spiritual experience, it becomes more and more clear and one day it is very clear and Hallelujah, my God, thank you! This is what we are looking for in this work of spiritual teaching, but it is a work of repetition, because it is a work of growth, it is every day that we grow, it is not in one day, But one day we manage to have everything installed.
103:6.14 (1137.4) When human philosophy leans strongly toward the world of matter, it becomes rationalistic or naturalistic. When philosophy inclines particularly towards the spiritual level, it becomes idealistic or even mystical. When philosophy has the misfortune to rely on metaphysics, it inevitably becomes skeptical, confused. In the past, most human intellectual evaluations and knowledge suffered from one of these three perceptual distortions. Philosophy does not dare to issue its interpretations of reality in a linear fashion like logic; it must always take into account the elliptical symmetry of reality and the essential curvature of all concepts of relationships.
Human philosophy and metaphysics when it takes its simple logic, the idea has a source and instead of looking for the source we stay on the idea and we never find anything, Philosophy gets itself stuck in its own logic , it must understand that the source of the idea is beyond the idea, it must be sought otherwise. Otherwise, it is the spiritual experience. Simple logic will not cause God to show himself and give himself, because his personality must be presented to him.
103:6.15 (1137.5) The highest philosophy attainable by mortal man must be logically based on the reason of science, the faith of religion, and the insight of truth furnished by revelation. By this union man can compensate somewhat for his inability to develop adequate metaphysics and his inability to understand the mota of the morontia.
As we said in the adjutant of wisdom, if the human being begins with the fact of his being, if he seeks the source of the fact of his being: wisdom or philosophy, then he actually arrives at understand that this source of his being which is God and he will know it only by spiritual experience and if he practices it, God reveals himself to him. So, for his approach, he effectively compensates for the lack of mota by logical reasoning arranged level by level and in a correct way. I repeat to myself, when we studied his conscience, his personality, his life, we started with a scientific fact of man’s making, we did not dream, we did not wander about real things. Then the human said yes, but where does this come from? So we see that the scientific basis brought it to the level of wisdom. Who did this ? What is the famous wisdom of this? This brought him to God actually whom he even wants to know. He begins to understand the partial nature of God, yes, he gave me that, there is no doubt, it comes from him, although I do not know him yet, but I realize that it is spiritual made of loving kindness and mercy. This immediately broadens the notion of God. The fact that he is a creator, but he also did it out of kindness, love and mercy and now, I say, yes, it’s completely normal, I want to know him, since he makes the beings, I want him to make my being. What do you want me to do? but the being who knows you, give me your knowledge. You put your understanding in me, therefore, you exist as the source of my being, you exist as the source of goodness of love and mercy, I want you to give this to me and he says to me: You know , I am infinite me, specify me your request, personally, tell me what you want. It is not difficult, my God, I want immortality, I want to know your spiritual nature, your very life and so on. So he says to me, always ask me, I’m ready, I’m here for it. And while man asks and repeats, God actually gives the mechanism by which he makes man conscious of God, the mechanism of man’s soul. Therefore, the revelation was made since the man reflected in a scientific way, he posed the philosophical problem of wisdom and he went to the experience by asking God what he wants and what he knows What he wants. And God reveals himself to him through the soul. So this method allows the individual to compensate for the lack of mota.
It is to have a clear reasoning based on a very solid moral attitude, he is a God of goodness and love and mercy, he is the only being who can increase my being who is a being of increase and growth. I can only reach him from him what I want and in addition he let me know that I have to personally present to him what I want, because by my personality he comes, therefore, I brought up in my personality the need for immortality. You have to live the thing morally and personally. I want to be immortal and ask Him for it daily through worship, prayers, or whatever technique best suits the individual. You have to insist, because it comes gradually. I am always progressing. So this repeated request, intelligently repeated. Every time and sincere need, it will respond every time. At the end of time, the effect is clear because it is a progression, it is not clear in a first gesture.
In the fourth year of the birth of a child, we begin to realize the construction of humanity. At the seventeenth year, oh there, at the thirtieth, his humanity is indisputable, the soul is the same, it grows gradually. And so much the better if human beings in this world find ever better and more efficient methods that allow humans to go from material to revelation in a logic that organizes and provides for personality and human nature without breaking anything. This is the problem that those who can invent methods that they intervene. We urgently need to be reconciled with God, to have a clear conscience and to live it, because we need happiness, we need joy and we need stability, we need it.
So the question is really this, human beings have to find the philosophy of religion, therefore the highest and reason-based philosophy of science.
7. Science and Religion
103:7.1 (1137.6) Science is supported by reason, religion by faith.
So here it is said that science is backed by reason, if we insist on that we can give a little more precision. We are called upon to have all sorts of students, sir, people who are already trained in fields of knowledge, human beings in science, philosophy, engineers, technologists and that is all the same the modern life. And modern life has had a certain richness for a number of years, not like in the days of Jesus. Thinking now works in a more active way very early, 2-3 years old, it’s kindergarten, then primary, secondary. So beings gradually became better thinkers than before. Human beings are also specialized with regard to work in all these various aforementioned professions, it is knowledge that they have in their heads. So, when they want to know God, they start from their points of view of their knowledge. It’s good to generally have a point of view on reality to add to it or shed light on it. It’s important to change the ways of teaching God in this time, before parables could work, but now people don’t walk with parables. So, we need clear, logical, scientific and mental explanations, we have really changed times, it is important to know that.
Churches and mosques lag behind the evolution of civilization, they lag far behind, religious institutions lag far behind. Why, because human beings have evolved in the process of their thoughts. So, we cannot remain on parabolic or symbolic words, that no longer satisfies human beings.
So science is backed by reason, what does science do? It analyzes, it sees the different parts, it looks at the relations between the different parts, it sees the properties of things, the reason and the relationship between the facts. That’s the science, the scientist.
But religion, it, the relationship with God, science is the relationship of matter with consciousness, but God is the relationship of my personality with God. This is the difference that must be shown to people: there it is matter with my conscience, but there, it is the relationship between my personality, which is interested in qualities and values, and God. So, it is not the same point of view, they are different, this is what is more and more to make the student who seeks God understand, we make him see the different points of view. So that he can better settle into the relationship of these points of view and follow it. It is no longer the consciousness, it is really the personality that wants to be in relation. So these two points of view are different and that is normal.
If I want to go up there, I take the elevator, when I want to go down, I also take the elevator, but I change direction. So, these are two points of view! Religion requires the method called faith.
Although faith is not based on reason, it is reasonable, and although it is independent of logic, it is nevertheless encouraged by sound logic. Even an ideal philosophy cannot nourish faith; in truth, along with science, it is faith that is the very source of this philosophy. Faith, the religious clairvoyance of men, can be taught with certainty only by revelation; it can only be increased with certainty by the personal experience of mortals with the presence of the spiritual Adjuster of the God who is spirit.
Although faith is not based on reason…We see it well, reason is matter…faith is for value, it is not the same foundation…it is reasonable! Yes, faith is reasonable and intelligent like matter: if I exist, I exist through something and it is reason that works in quality. By whom do I exist? Faith has its reason. She is reasonable in her own way.
Well though it is independent of logic, it is nonetheless encouraged by sound logic, of course I can’t be made without having a “maker” who made my personality, if not me it’s is someone else, that’s the logic. Therefore, it is nonetheless encouraged by sound logic. So we can see that faith is just as intelligent and reasonable, just as logical as science, just as logical as philosophy. It is clear that we walk with each of the two.
Even an ideal philosophy cannot nourish faith; it also requires a little more precision: An ideal is all that I see in perspective, but faith, I live it, so there is a difference between envisioning an ideal and living the ideal.
I can consider getting married and having children, it’s an ideal, but when I’m in it it’s very … different! it is the practical side of the ideal is much deeper and more gripping than the ideal itself. You have to live the ideal by itself, to realize it, simply having the ideal is good, but it is better to live your ideal and to realize it. Between the point of view and the vision and the point of view of the living, there is a big difference.
So, all of this, we understand very well, it is in the nature of things, in truth, with science, it is faith that is the very source of this philosophy.
It is in the name of faith itself that we have considered this philosophy, it is also in the name of faith that we consider the relationship with God. Science and philosophy seem to be assumed by faith.
Faith, the religious clairvoyance of men, can only be taught with certainty by revelation: that is interesting and subtle. You will see when you train your students for this notion of revelation that most of the time, the ideas that you are going to install in their understanding, this comes even when you will be teaching, the ideas and all the things to say, the way of say it from my confidence. This is a form of revelation. Jesus had said it to his apostles: go teach the truth to men, do not worry because when you speak the spirit of truth will put in you the conscience of what must be said.
This notion of revelation is important. Those who really teach religion to people, they don’t carry around baggage. When they’re in the situation, in the moment with people, things will come out naturally. The truth, the expression changes each time according to the personalities present, anyway, it’s the same truth articulated things according to the personalities present, it’s the same truth, but according to the people the modulations change. It is a type of revelation by God and it is very important and here he did not emphasize clearly in terms of pedagogy, therefore, I insist on it.
It’s going to happen to you as you teach people. The moment you go to talk to them, what you tell them comes right then! You don’t need to try to find out, you weren’t a teacher, but in the functioning of spiritualization what we have to say about acts when we have the person and it’s always for the person . If there are others, the modulation changes automatically. This pedagogy of faith when you are with someone is a pedagogy of clairvoyance, the moment you speak, your Adjuster, and the spirit of Truth get on it, that’s what to say to the person and it is always for the person.
So it is already a way of revelation, a form of revelation. Moreover, when we teach spirituality, we are aware and convinced that it is God that we are going to try to raise in people’s consciousness, otherwise it is not spirituality. But this God, we do not come to pull him by the ears, he is just as free and personal as we are, therefore, there is a relationship of silent consultation between the Adjuster of the one who teaches and the Adjuster of the one who is taught.
These two movements of God arise when you are going to do it and when God arises, it is to reveal himself to the creature. The one who teaches, he is supported by a conscious of truth while he teaches, but also, that is very good, a teacher, he does nothing but invite the Adjuster to move towards the aware of the other, therefore God agrees to reveal himself to the one being instructed.
These movements will gain clarity in your consciousness and at that time, it is your spiritual clairvoyance that works. Whoever goes to God and accompanies someone works by spiritual clairvoyance, he is revealing to him what he has to say. But also otherwise, it is a work of revelation, because this God who is in the individual gives himself to the consciousness of the individual, therefore, there are two movements of revelation. (Be careful that it does not become a desire on the other) It is a right that has become a duty, because in a certain way if the person wants us to teach, it is a duty. He gives you permission. When we teach God, we have to check whether people want us to teach. If the person says yes, then, out of love or kindness, you have a duty to teach the thing, you have exceeded the law. It was he who established the law and now you walk straight out of duty. This is important, because in our current philosophy, we have no right to disturb the other! Yes, but if the other asks me to disturb him, I have a duty to disturb him! This is what happens between God and us. God never invades us, but when we say to him: I want to know you, then he comes! It is important to complete the philosophy of right with the philosophy of duty, it makes things fair, equitable and harmonious.
I don’t have the right to invade him, it’s true, but if he asks to do so, I don’t take the right, but it becomes a duty. It is important to clarify things. It’s the same with God, he leaves us free will and he never invades us. But once we say: I want to know you, because it makes us better, so we open the right to it! We respond by serving duty and not right. And this really settles everyone’s account. It is good to educate young people in this notion of right and duty, because it also brings harmony between beings.
; it can only be increased with certainty by the personal experience of mortals with the presence of the spiritual Adjuster of the God who is spirit.
If we love a person in spirituality, truly, what we bring to them springs into us in the push of our Adjuster, we are not talking about regression. We speak so that the God who is in us and the God who is in the other agree. So, really, we reveal God, but when the person has understood that he must now move on to the experience to increase his consciousness. This revelation can only be increased with certainty by spiritual experience. When the individual really has the intuition of his relationship with God and it suits him, he must work on it. Come my God, today, come, come tomorrow I will ask you again so that you come, it is the experience, everything is done in time and space in the form of growth. And growth must be helped to grow. You have to give the way to growth, you have to ask for it and it actually comes. So this responsibility of the individual is unalterable, we use his responsibility to advantage and advantage. You have to experience it, once you understand it, yes, he will really get down to it.
103:7.2 (1137.7) True salvation is the technique of the divine evolution of the human mind from identification with matter, through the realms of morontia bonding, to higher universe status of spirit correlation. As in earthly evolution material intuitive instinct precedes the appearance of reasoned knowledge, so in the divine program of heavenly evolution the manifestation of intuitive spiritual insight presages the later appearance of reason and morontia and then spirit experience, the role of which is to transmute the potentials of temporal man into the actuals and divinity of the eternal man, a Paradise finaliter.
There, we did a few million years, we traveled in time. It is good to say that even in evolution remains the material intuitive “instinct” and that the adjutants will follow as we know them in the progression of the human. It is therefore only a kind of consciousness, such as that reached by fetuses. You are right, in this text, he (Melchiziedek) wanted to show the movements of the phenomenon of evolution, but for him, the real salvation in man is first of all to resemble God, obviously to here until there too, but salvation really: I want to become like God, I am in eternity in infinity forever, in security, in tranquillity.
It is also said: since the identification of matter, it is science.
True salvation is the technique of the divine evolution of the human mind from identification with matter that man is interested in matter, in science. His thought must recognize matter, man says: up to a certain point I am matter with my body, therefore, I also know matter, human consciousness becomes aware of matter, identification is matter. So from this level, the divine evolution of the human mind from identification happens through the morontia linking realms, from the soul, it is the soul that is truly the link between matter and spirituality in Me. So in my search for salvation I begin with the movement of reason and really progress through the movement of the next stage, the morontia stage. God manifesting to me through the soul as I advance in spiritual research, my soul gives me more and more natural clear-understandings deep within myself.
So the linkage is the morontia realm to higher universal status, spiritual correlation, where, I have merged with my Adjuster (23.58?)
This journey can be schematically divided into three stages:
1. The first is at the level of my actual being, as I exist on the physical world, as I participate in physical reality also through my body. At this first level the identification in our research, especially the analysis of our consciousness, the analysis of our personality, the analysis of our life, because all this works in this physical world in relation to matter. We become aware of ourselves at this level, it is the first level and we conclude by the philosophical approach that we have not given ourselves these things, therefore, there is a movement of my thought which evolves which observes the doing of the divine source which also makes a movement of evolution.
2. This same evolution to the one who gave me these things, there is yet another aspect of this movement which is the force that invigorates me. Yes, it is he who did not give it all the same also in a qualitative way, not only quantitative, but also qualitative. Quantitatively I have the 7 adjutants, I can count them, quantitatively I have my life, quantitatively I have my personality, but after recognizing that there is a quantitative giver of these things, I realize that there is also something else from this donor, he gave it to me qualitatively. What am I paying…=, nothing! he gave it to me without counting, I paid nothing, his love installed it. Ultimately, his generosity for my creation allows me to do a lot of things. So the creator is quantitative and he is qualitative, because he gave it to me out of goodness and love and mercy. Therefore, my thought is greedy of the fact that I have a Creator and I add that he is good and that he is good: This is the second element.
3. The third element: Why did he do all this? For what ? He has a drawing, he knows this drawing. It is God who gave you qualitatively the means of your being and your Life, it is he who gave it qualitatively in goodness, in love and in mercy, he therefore has a design, he must indeed has a drawing, otherwise it doesn’t make sense. What is his design? My thought continues, logically, his drawing is that you are like him! It is a great maximum, that I am like him, am I not? Ah, be careful, let’s take a closer look. It’s a good question, since he gave you life, your body, your consciousness, your personality, but this life is limited, you know it well. It is limited from the point of view of duration, from the point of view of quality, it is temporary; do you want life differently? So, sincerely, I wouldn’t want you to die, I wouldn’t want this life to fade away. So I need the part of God that doesn’t die, the eternal part so as not to disappear, I don’t want to stop living. Is that what you want? Of course I want it, but how am I going to get it? This question tickles a lot, it’s true, think again, are you sincere? There, it is better that we be sincere, really, that we have this idea of immortality, eternity and infinity, we know each other enough to be sincere? The more we think about it in knowing whether we will be able to or not, the more sincere we become.
You can talk with students for days about it, it doesn’t build up in depth in a day. It is good that he comes back to work every day, have you continued to reflect on this notion of immortality? So where are you at?
It’s good to come back to this several times, that’s what I do. So what do you think today? You have to let him talk, Listen well, he has to talk, he has to say anything. In the long run, this will make him react differently, bringing immortality and always in a more powerful way, this is very important. Doris, be careful, it makes the sincerity basically want the thing, it grows in the consciousness. It is necessary to come back to it often, the change is made when the person speaks about it with seriousness and that he cannot imagine not having it. If I don’t have it, I’m finished! I don’t know anything anymore. You see how much his thought will illuminate all these notions of immortality, eternity, infinity, deeply, because it is a work between the consciousness of his being and the consciousness of himself to the superhuman. It is a very beautiful phase of adoration and prayer, because each time he comes back to this, he is faced with this without his knowing it.
It will increase in him and it gives him insight into what he wants. He knows that he must want it even more, deep down, it makes foresight. You will apply it and you will see the results.
Now that you know what you need, how to get there. So, inevitably, it must and even absolutely, yes, I too, I experienced this, I understand you, so how are you going to get it? We are not crazy, it is very reasonable, we are in the objectivity of things. The objectives are also in his being. It is a question of himself with himself and that is what is important and he will understand that his being and himself are there to become better. There transmutations and transformations take place. This is what made spiritual alchemists talk about how metal is transmuted into gold, the transformation. You will see your students, how they transform, you will see the notion of kindness transformed from the notion of worldly satisfaction. It is good to take the student on these different journeys.
Your conscience, take a good look. Do you really have these adjutants, you have to ask this question to make you think, it leads him to take ownership more deeply of what he was not aware of before.
(do: I invite people to go in search of themselves and I see that it does them good and it helps them to understand better afterwards, to be more aware of their life.)
You really have to install it, because you even forget life without paying attention to it, now you have to pay attention to it. From now on, what they did without knowing it, they will know what they are doing! Whatever the next step, it must be brought back so that it becomes aware and says for example; ah, I see more clearly! These are testimonies that will take him further and for us it confirms that he is on the way. It is the verification of his link with God, therefore his religion. You have to make time available to him, that’s the key for the future.
The ancient Greeks said well: Know yourself first and they never gave the explanation of this knowledge! Through this method, we fill in that self-knowledge, saying that there is this and that in you…check it out! is that correct? So, you have already used it in your past, the person must be made aware of it. Everything is here ! So, it is the one who will make him want to seek God, it is with oneself that one seeks him, the reason for seeking him, the need to find him, it comes out of oneself!
But the technique of looking for it and finding it comes out of itself also by truly living the ideas of faith. Everything comes from the human, so as long as he is not clear in himself, he continues to believe that it is miraculously that it will happen, but you are the creator of this miracle! According to a design and a way that are also unique to you. This is very important, many people do not evaluate well at present, because truly, they are afraid to understand that they have the key!
You have the keys to Heaven! It is the human being who opens the sky, who makes the experience, who makes God pass through him, the human being. The keys to heaven and the keys, it is the human who holds them. Jesus said he was lying the keys of heaven in the hands of the apostles! It is the human himself who opens up to God, he therefore has an action of experience that man must know and that he has in order for God to descend into him, it is heaven! In the same way, he can love his neighbor and serve him, he must establish a method, a relationship of exchange, a formation and lead the person to clearly conceive God, in himself too!
So the keys to Heaven are in the hands of human beings. So, we say all this about Jesus and we forget that it is human beings who are the operators of these openings. The sky in us and the earth also and it still brought errors. It was believed that heaven came in the midst of the apostles to teach the thing, but the keys are in the individuals, the soul of God is in you, the soul of your neighbor is not in you!
(do) It is up to each of us to realize it! Moussa: it is important, the student, he is really seated and installed on his being in relation to God and in relation to men! So humans do not belong to the books they have read, they belong to other masters, but invisible. Too many things in their heads prevent seeing the true functioning of them and it takes a lot of insistence so that things gradually become clear in them. But, all the difficulty of God’s conscience is due to the fact that human beings look elsewhere and seek elsewhere, the answers are within them. It will be necessary to speak to them about this, about this functioning in them and thus, there is an evolution in human thought which goes from self-consciousness gradually towards the level of the consciousness of God. We have treated on the logical angle; who created me? and how did he create me, what he gave me, he had to take from himself, he did not take it from elsewhere, he did not steal it; so he took it upon himself to install it and he did it in all goodness, he didn’t charge me anything!
Love and all that is active and even mercy all of that has an applicable meaning, therefore, I recognize that not only did he give it to me in all spirituality in kindness, love and mercy. So, now, I’m going to look for him and it’s better that I find him, because he wants to give himself to me! The important thing is to know that he wants to give himself to you. He is not somewhere in space where he is hiding, look for him, find him and know that he wants to give himself to you. So, it’s up to me to want it and to be able to, so, I say, I want immortality, eternity, I need it, so how do I find it?
I open my being to his being! Let him give himself in goodness, love and mercy and he will do so by creating my soul. Moreover, he has already created it and I can become aware of it, as I have become aware of this consciousness that he has in me. As he also put my personality in me and that I became aware of it. I can therefore become aware of my soul, of its nature, of its life, of its functioning, spiritual clairvoyance. God created it in me and he will push for it to enter my consciousness. So in at the same time that I ask him, at the same time, I am attentive that he is going to manifest himself… I look at God, I look at my soul, it is I who asked for it and I therefore expect to receive it . Gradually, the soul gives itself to us which makes spiritual clairvoyance. This functioning of the relationship between human beings and God is very present, it is enough to pay attention to it, in philosophy, it is known. Faith is practiced! Faith is the source of this philosophy, faith tells me that I must seek in God, I must seek the ideal of truth and immortality. So it is faith that inspires philosophers. But faith must also be lived for me to have results. Having faith and not living it is useless at all!
True philosophy comes from faith, it is faith from the idea, I want to be immortal, it is philosophy, it is wisdom rising to its source. It is an ideal, but it will have to be lived for it to be! I want to live my faith so that God can manifest himself in me.
103-7-1 (1137.79 Faith, the religious insight of men, can only be taught with certainty by revelation; it can only be increased with certainty by the personal experience of mortals with the presence of the spirit Adjuster of the God who is spirit.
This man, what does he want to know? Reality ! This reality is called the eternal man, in short it is the Adjuster. So the potential man goes to the eternal man and the relation of the two in finaliter to enter paradise. (These are concepts that come up gradually, by introducing them, I open up interest for the rest. I choose the texts specifically while arriving at what is essential.)
This human being who seeks God, who sincerely recognizes that he must find him, this human being who has identified the why, that is to say the faith, the ideals of the faith, this being is potential. So the potential human is not just anything, it is very precise. He is a being who has recognized that he has a creator, who has recognized that this Creator is in a relationship of love with humans and with him- This being who wants to know his creator and who recognizes his needs through the 7 levels of faith, because his being needs that, so that human being is a potential human being.
It is very specific in this study. This is what Jesus called the son of man, which was in the book of Enoch, the first human that fused with his Adjuster. Jesus took up this appellation, but he did not explain it – What is it, the son of man, we are just beginning to decode this expression; he is a human being who has truly become aware of what constitutes him, there is no deception, we do not speak to him of the devil and all this, we speak to him of the Divine! This is what is important and when he becomes aware of himself, his intelligence continues to function. And you have to go all the way: Who gave me this? it is a question of very great moral intelligence. If it’s me, then I continue, but if it’s not me, I have to look elsewhere. Look for what? To be better! Making your thought work gradually, thus, thought, it progresses, it is this progression that is interesting. You always have to go back to this process. When I became aware of my being, I am obliged and it is honest to say it: where does this come from? If it’s me, I’m free of everything, I created myself, it’s over! So why did I do it? There, I’m going the other way, but I didn’t give myself these things, I must think that God had put it on me!
Obligatorily, otherwise, my thought is not fair, not equitable. So my thinking needs to change. It is also an idea of justice towards myself and other things. The one who gave me everything, he must exist. In any case, of what we are sure, it is a fact that I am and what I am in my personality is a gift. He did it on top of that in a contract of kindness. I gave nothing in return. In this loving relationship, he didn’t throw these things at me unnecessarily. It is in a useful way and it activates in a consequent way, I can do so many things. I recognize that there is kindness and love and that generosity is mercy in all of this.
And now the question: the human being thinks of the consequences of all these kindnesses and why? Why did God give me in such a gracious way and which comes from him? Why, you have to ask yourself. There is nothing hidden in it, why? What an excellent question; to give himself to you! So what is he to me?
You are a free being, a being who has Free Will, a being who must assume himself. You have to see if you still have needs that HIM must satisfy? So that will justify his presence. What do you need, think! Take a good look at who you are, everything can be resolved in the living being that exists and lives. To be alive is first of all to exist and then to make your being of your personality function, this makes you an individual conscious of yourself who can make your being of your personality work, this makes you an individual conscious of you who can function effectively and in your own way. So, what you have received, look at certain aspects and above all that you are a being of time. So look in time what is it worth in time? I want it to last about 30 years and then I’m gone, is that enough for you? It’s an internal question, it’s not a matter of public debate, it is really personal. But what is there first? if there is no hell etc. Is that enough? If that’s not enough for you and you want to be and live something else, with that, you express immortality, it’s also an unknown, so what is it? So you want to be, unaltered by time, a being who is immortal. Look in depth, do you also want it in permanent, eternal operation? So, in a meaning and in an expression that never ends? That’s it ! So he is also there to give it to you.
Currently, these things can be explained to men in a clear and very logical, very intelligent and very acceptable way. When Jesus tried to explain it to a teacher of the Samandrins, who was clearly more educated than his apostles, he did not understand! Born again, do I have to go inside Mommy’s womb? To be born again? Jesus did not explain to him, he was very evasive. And until now, the church has not had an argument to clarify this notion. This is also why many people have put the gospel aside. It is desirable to know these things, but how?
Understanding cannot be taken away, you have to explain and take your progress step by step, question after question, answer after answer to each question. Jesus did say at the end of his earthly life that with miracles, this is not the way to educate humans. It was a magician and Caligastia affair. Human beings have to be taught step by step, but he didn’t say what those step by step are- That’s the trouble.
So Jesus was speaking, but standing for the result what he was, Michael of Nebadon. But between this result and the state of human beings, there are scales, the approach must be explained clearly. A conduct repeated and maintained until men really feel seated on themselves in the direction towards God. Their face to face with God in a moral state and insisting on what they want so that it can fit in.
Human thought must now be well framed, conducted in a serene and clear manner, always step by step, from question to answer continually. Until they say: Yes, it’s true! Now I see my part, I have to “eat” this God daily, I need it, food for my life and action. I also know that I want to be like God, I understand why and it has become my own choice now. Like HIM, he chose to love me, I too chose to love him; I also experiment to give it away. After some time, the person will see that transformations begin in his being. So today we have to take the trouble to explain things.
103:7.3 (1138.1) As an ascender advances inward and Paradise to gain the experience of God, he also advances outward and into space to understand, in terms of energy, the material cosmos. The progress of science is not limited to the earthly life of man; his ascension experience of the universe and the superuniverse will be, in large measure, the study of the transmutations of energy and the metamorphoses of matter. God is spirit, but Deity is unity, and the unity of Deity not only encompasses the spiritual values of the Universal Father and the Eternal Son, but is also instructed in the energetic facts of the Universal Controller and the Isle of Heaven. As for these last two phases of universe reality, they are perfectly connected in the mind relations of the Conjoint Actor and unified on the finite level in the emergent Deity of the Supreme Being.
Moussa: I will explain everything to you! It’s easier than you know! (do.: seeing a diagram, we can understand better.)
It is immense what awaits us, thinking of acquiring the experience of God. What is in this paragraph, we must try to repeat it for human thought in a human way, using terms to which human thought is accustomed and taking facts to which human thought is also accustomed.
In the 4th seminar (?), you learned about the nature of God, that God was Spirit, of course, but he is also energy and it is thanks to energy that the spirit of God can create what he wants create. The spirit is always within. In Paradise, in the center of this energy that we will study, there is the divine Trinity spirit, Paradise is never without Trinity, therefore, the emerged spirit are realities of God. It is certain that the spirit contains the initiative, the will obviously and that the energy contains the powers and all that God wants. There are always both!
In humans, we also have this famous pattern, the human body is made of energy, several energies, the flow of blood, the nervous flow, the lymph and without forgetting the genetic energies and so many others , it never ends. So the human is already an energy organization in which the personality lives, so the man is already a pattern of energy subject to a thought, which thought is coordinated with the personality and supposes to be the support of spirit!
So the human being is body, mind, energy and the linking of energy to personality through thought. Thought makes the connection. If the thought sees that it is the physical world, the personality examines what the thought has seen and decides, do I want it or do I not want it! You have seen that it works well in the analysis, so now what do you want? I’m waiting for you to tell me what you want, so the personality makes its choice! I receive what thought knows. It is also the personality that tells thought what it wants and thought realizes: So thought makes the joint between matter and spirit. The spirit is supposed to represent the qualitative, the personality recognizes what is moral and the thought makes the connection between the physical and the energy. Currently, what else is there to add? To better understand what this paragraph means:
We said, Creation outside of Paradise is a will of Paradise by the Trinity, God. This creation was a mobilization of energy outside Paradise, energy which is considered as potential, which has not yet been used for a creation. The creation which is done and its support, Paradise, but there is still a mass of energy that God has not yet used, not yet created, it awaits the divine will. God moved in the motion of sending out this potential and making creations. He will do it in an infinite way, therefore, he will do it by sequences, by periods. This comes from the will of God, to achieve it God therefore brought out the powers of his level which animated this energy from the space outside Paradise, potential, and he cut it into several levels of creations.
First level: what is called the grand universe, the one in which we find ourselves, we are already told 4 exterior levels and this is not the end, it will continue. At the moment, we are on the first outer level in Paradise. In this first level, he organized it in stages, the two great stages coming out of Paradise, this is what is called the super-universe in which the local universe is found, this is the organization of the space outside of Paradise and in all these spaces there are creatures that God has created, it is God’s design and it is clear in perfection until we find God in Paradise where it always has been from eternity.
This improvement is only an increase in the acquisition of the powers of God by burning up there. This staggering of the powers of God which will be done……It becomes a local universe which divides itself into (in universe-capital) constellation, then into systems, astronomical worlds which stick to these systems and of which we are part of these worlds.
So, therefore, we were going to Heaven; at each level of creation, the energy is different, but beings must adapt within these frameworks, within these energies in order to be able to join God. As we move forward toward God, we will live in different energy frames that correspond to the next step, progression. So, going to God for a human being is always knowing God in depth and living him in a framework; first on earth and when this will be accomplished, in another framework and, we live there and when it will be lived, we leave in another framework and, we live there and when this will be lived, we leave in another framework, this in the local universe, the constellations, the super-universe up to Paradise.
Therefore, it is normal that the human being always lives God in a renewed way internally, but with the support of a renewed situation. As much as he advances towards God, the more he accesses the exterior, that is to say, he applies the exterior. Here on earth, I mainly apply brotherhood, building society, when I am in Satania, I will know God in another way and so on, but each time in a different energy framework. Whenever I know God more, I live it and I apply it to the maximum to make my soul grow to the maximum and when the maximum is reached, I go to another level for a new knowledge of God which I will apply from a new way. That’s what this paragraph means!
As time goes by, God will also apply on the outer energies of the outer organizations, of the beings; organized beings in organized frames.
In this paragraph the word “energy” is not specified, that is what we have just done. It is many beings who are created in environments which have the mentality of personality and a life, the life which serves these people, like the earth to us. When you know God within yourself, what happens? In society, there are lots of different people, other people who have different jobs, who think differently, so we access a differentiation of human thought, of human personality in forms of life. We are organized beings and we live in an organized framework, that is also external energy.
(You have to try to understand people to know how they react on the values of life to explain this paragraph to them in more detail! You have to coordinate what I give and what they want. Knowing people also means loving them You have to make it understood that the “external energy” so many beings in other organized frameworks, who have a culture, who have experiences. You really have to arrive, so that people realize in conscience what they are doing. and what they already apply which they have experienced.)
We live gradually, gradually, according to the framework of life thereafter, the nature and the consciousness of God to arrive at the end of acquiring it. We experience it at every stage and we will love the humans and creatures we come to know. It’s always organized so that we take this path and each time, it’s another energy, another frame, it’s the metamorphosis of matter.
103:7:3 (1138.1) God is spirit, but Deity is unity, and the unity of Deity not only encompasses the spiritual values of the Universal Father and the Eternal Son, but is also instructed in the energetic facts of the Universal Controller and the Island of Paradise. As for these last two phases of universe reality, they are perfectly connected in the mind relations of the Conjoint Actor and unified on the finite level in the emergent Deity of the Supreme Being.
Unity of Deity, but unity of what? Spirit and matter, it takes both for it to work. Deity is Unity, it takes both for it to work. Deity and Unity, she is with the Trinity, but she is also spirit and energy, naturally related to energy. Like our body, which is linked to our thought. This precision is useful to know it well. The unity of Deity is not only the values of the universal Father, it is energy, the energy that God has already fashioned in an absolute way of eternity that serves all energies.
When it is the last phase of universal reality, both phases, they are perfectly realized in the mind relations of the Conjoint Actor, it is the Infinite Spirit of God who serves the spiritual Trinity and the paradise energy. He has already done this before creating the world of Havona, it is the Creator God = the Infinite Spirit of God truly takes what God the Father and the Eternal Son want to achieve from Paradise energy. His first act was the creation of the world of Havona. The Conjoint Actor is the third person of the Trinity. She already holds all the springs of the Spirit and she has all the powers of energy. Everywhere else outside of Havona, where there is Creation, it will be the will of the Trinity, but it is she, the Conjoint Actor who takes the will of the three and uses with the energy to do or cause to be done. what was wanted! She is wonderful this third person of the Trinity, it is the feminine aspect of God!
As women prove by pregnancy, they take what the man gives and on their own they grow the embryo to become a fetus and then a child. This is how it works in the Trinity. The three Gods do their wills in the third God. And those wills unified and realized by the Conjoint Actor, the creation of the universes and including Paradise. This is what we are talking about in this paragraph, but it is not explained enough and it is confusing.
103:7.3 (1138.1) As to these last two phases of universe reality, they are perfectly connected in the mind relations of the Conjoint Actor and unified on the finite level in the emergent Deity of the Supreme Being.
What does “finished” mean?
The first level of the Paradise Trinity is the creation of the superuniverse, this is what is called the level, the superuniverses where the local universes are. It is the first creation of the Trinity, it is called “finite” because simply it contains the attitude in creatures that must acquire God by experience.
Within the framework of Paradise, creatures were made for all eternity, who do not need to make this effort, because it is already in them. The “finished” is not done yet and we must do it. We are not complete beings, but to be completed. This is where we are finished, something is missing and it is not yet infinite! So we are going to gain it by experience by personal acquisition, as we are part of this space, called finite, it is in this space the will of God to change in relation to Paradise.
It is He in Heaven who wants me in a certain way. He created Paradise, what is ACTUAL, in him and what is spiritual, now it is not finished, because there is still energy that is not yet used. In Paradise, he uses the energy to put him out of Paradise into POTENTIAL. He is in the present, but he has the right to continue in the potential, it is even his duty. In this potential, what does it do? It brings living energy.
Constantly in search of God, which is our case, but which is not yet fully, it is to be acquired, we are potential beings, we are made to want God and this in a conscious way, in a precise way, in a determined way, but it is also necessary that God gives himself. Then that brings in a potential God to go into the Present. We are at the beginning of this colossal realization of God. There is practically no limit, we are at the beginning which is called “finished” and we must realize this junction of potential and actuality and this is called reaching supremacy, the supreme value.
So, this work that is being done here and which is being done in billions of creations, which can be done with people who have left paradise like Michael of Nebadon to come into space, that is why the work of synthesis, we will call it when we are finished, the totalization of the search for the Supreme God who is to him in space!
There are two things, the potential and the actual. It is a new value that is created. It is only in space that this can be created, it does not exist in Paradise. In Paradise, there is only the Actual. But outside of Paradise there is the revelation of both, the potential and the actual, so, in addition, we experience supremacy over the other. The creatures of Paradise do not have that, we have to know God in a new relationship, it contains the apparatus and the mechanics. The people of Paradise envy us, we do more than them, which honors the human being!
103:7.4 (1138.2) The union of scientific attitude and religious insight through experiential philosophy is part of the long human experience of Paradise ascension. The approximations of mathematics and the certainties of clairvoyance will always need the harmonizing function of mental logic, on all levels of experience below the maximum attainment of the Supreme.
103:7.5 (1138.3) Logic can never succeed in harmonizing the findings of science and the insights of religion unless both scientific and religious aspects of a personality are truth-dominated and sincerely desirous to follow her wherever she leads, without worrying about the conclusions she might reach.
The scientific attitude, that means, the potential and we are potential beings and the being is organized by being conscious and voluntary. This living environment on which human beings can act. The being is itself a potential phenomenon of the facts of living energies with a living consciousness that activates this energy. An equally lively personality uses this energy. It is differential, but conscious and alive and with this potential, it feels within itself the need for eternity. So it is actual and it needs infinity which gives it potential and without that it could not seek it.
In science it should really be called the potential, but from its organized and conscious angle of its potential, it means, what is far from the actual. It is very important to add it always, and wherever beings are created. Living, intelligent and will-powered beings on earth or elsewhere, we carry this within us. It is the potential that seeks the actual at any level and we find ourselves in a framework such that we can operate in what we need.
In the earth, there are all the energies that we transform, especially in agriculture. So the energies of the earth are alive and part of our life which transforms them again through our intellect and again through our personality and again through our consciousness. The individual, like the framework of the individual, is potential energy capable of advancing and progressing. Of course, there is science with living beings, in the settings in which they live, are all tied to the potential for evolutionary growth. The human being who wants to know God through the enterprise of philosophical experience is part of the human ascension of Paradise. Faith applies, the philosopher’s experience is part of the human ascension of Heaven. Faith applies or wisdom applied but simpler: it is faith that applies or wisdom applied, but not philosophy! We can come up with more up-to-date and simpler expressions.
Mathematical approximations are at the level of science, the certainty of clairvoyance is faith; mental logic is experience. It all has to work together and it works together in spiritual experience. On all levels of lower experiences; as long as we go to Heaven, we will always need to harmonize in thought and through thought. We will always be with experiences and the results will always bring us closer to God. Through the technique of supremacy there is the technique of progression until we reach God in Paradise.
People who desire the truth, that they are potential, they will achieve it through experience. Do not use complicated terms. My divine truth is my commitment to God and it comes from experience. And this experience is the application of faith, what I really want and in relation to the one who gives it to me and what gives me is my soul which is always growing. So the truth is based on the experience of survival that leads me to God. In this paragraph Melchizedek really complicates the simple things. God can lead me only to God himself. My Adjuster leads me nowhere but to the God of heaven. The truth is God in me, my Adjuster, he is in me to certainly bring me to God. The truth is that God will make himself known, there is nothing to worry about in that.
103:7.6 (1138.4) Logic is the technique of philosophy, its method of expression. In the domain of true science, reason is always sensitive to authentic logic. In the realm of true religion, faith always makes sense from an inward point of view, though it may seem completely unfounded from the outward point of view of the method. scientist. From the outside, looking inward, the universe may seem material; from within, looking outward, the same universe appears to be entirely spiritual. Reason comes from material consciousness, and faith comes from spiritual consciousness. But, through a philosophy reinforced by revelation, logic can confirm both external and internal viewpoints and thus stabilize both science and religion. Thus, by common contact with the logic of philosophy, science and religion can tolerate each other better and better and become less and less skeptical.
By lightening the twist, we can come to understand:
The logic and the technique of philosophy, when the human being of science worked on the apple (example), he studied it and he defined: it is an apple! The philosophers say: Ah yes, you studied the apple, but where is the idea, because before the apple, there was an idea. It’s a little more abstract, it’s not the fact anymore!
The philosopher says: yes, but, it is the idea of the fact, therefore the departure of the philosophers is the idea, but the idea derives from the fact. If the idea does not point to a fact, it will not make sense. So philosophy comes out of science, that’s natural, but we try to separate the two.
Science looks at the fact, studies it and defines it so that the apple is not compared to the banana. Science tries to give the idea of the apple so that it is not confused, science is precision. I try to give an identification to the thing, when you see a banana you do not envision an apple. Clarity in the imagination of the thing, therefore, clarity and precision. When someone speaks to me clearly about a thing, I have the image of the thing.
The philosopher says: yes, this idea of this bicycle for example, the idea of making a bicycle, there is the idea of making it! So he says, I want to work on the idea, who came up with the idea? So there is a logic; who designed? where the idea came from, it still makes sense. The man of science must say: where does the fact come from? the fact comes from an idea which has manifested itself. The idea was mixed with energy: the apple in the energy of the earth does not exist! Philosophers are interested in the fact, but in relation to their source.
So philosophy has its logic, it goes from the idea to the source of the idea. They say that it comes from a source of ideas. They go back to the thing, the first cause of the original source. The multiple ideas of fact that roam the earth and that are useful to our life.
Melchiziedek speaks of “true science”, is there a false science? Simply science is right!
In the field of science, reason is always valid in relation to an authentic fact. That is to say, when science is correct, when it sees a fact, it should logically ask where the fact comes from, often science locks itself into the fact and is not interested in the origin facts. We can say that science is true only when it admits the logic of science. Therefore, in the realm of “true” science, reason is always sensitive to the authentic logic of fact.
In the realm of true religion, the relationship with God, faith always makes sense based on the inner point of view. Because faith says: really, where do the things that constitute me come from? where does this goodness and love of God come from? So, faith looks at the true salvation of the individual in relation to God, faith also has its logic.
From the outside, looking inward, the universe can seem material when we see the celestial bodies with the eyes we see it material. From within, looking outward, looking at creation everything seems entirely spiritual.
But by undertaking a philosophy reinforced by revelation, wisdom above all! It is through wisdom. If someone takes the approach of wisdom, once again, taking the human being as an example, he will say: Yes, my human being is a fact and the more I analyze it, the more I am seized with the quality of this fact; that means, I suppose myself a donor!
There, we see the scientific reason which joins the wisdom. Wisdom is part of science and religion. If we also start from Paradise, we assume that there is a creator God, because there is creation, so really, this creation was willed by God, so his creation is that he must go there. put too! He cannot create without commitment. If we really look at wisdom, one way or the other, things are clear. I am a scientifically factual creature of a creator who wanted this and this I can analyze very well in my inner life.
If God created space, it had to be his will and he could only put what he himself is. It is thus clear that science and religion come together. Science and religion do not contradict each other.
That’s what he means in this paragraph! Wisdom can confirm both what is outside and what is inside. There is a liaison of science and religion in all aspects.
Thus, by common contact with the logic of philosophy, science and religion can tolerate each other better and better and become less and less skeptical. – they have to accept and admit themselves, that’s all!
103:7.7 (1138.5) In the course of their development, both science and religion need a deeper and bolder self-criticism, an increased awareness of the incompleteness of their evolutionary status. In science as in religion, educators are often far too self-confident and too dogmatic. Science and religion can only criticize facts that concern them. From the moment they deviate from the stage of facts, reason abdicates or quickly degenerates into an agreement of false logic.
This famous self-criticism is simple: when science sees a fact, it must ask WHO did the fact! If she refuses this criticism, criticizing does not mean rejecting, but discovering deeper relationships. When you are critical and when you have seen something, ask yourself: how and where does it come from? Look a little further. So the review takes a little deeper look. There is a fact, that is good, but who did the fact? , it is the criticism that goes with it. And if it is a religion, a God, you have to be critical. This God who created: WHY DID YOU CREATE? We must not refuse criticism, we must not be theology and lock ourselves into dogmas.
103:7.8 (1138.6) Truth — an understanding of cosmic relationships, universal facts, and spiritual values — is best grasped by the ministry of the Spirit of Truth, and it is by revelation that it can be better critiqued. But revelation engenders neither a science nor a religion; its function is to coordinate science and religion with the truth of reality. In the absence of revelation, or failing to accept or understand it, mortal man has always resorted to his futile attempts at metaphysics, which is the only human substitute for the revelation of truth or the mota of the morontia personality.
103:7.9 (1139.1) The science of the material world enables man to control and to some extent dominate his physical environment. The religion of spiritual experience is the source of the impulse of brotherhood which enables men to live together in the complexities of the civilization of a scientific age. Metaphysics, but certainly more revelation, provides a meeting ground for the discoveries of science and those of religion; it makes possible the human attempt to logically link these separate but interdependent domains of thought into a well-balanced philosophy imbued with scientific stability and religious certainty.
103:7.10 (1139.2) In the mortal stage nothing can be absolutely proved; both science and religion are based on assumptions. On the morontia level, the postulates of science and religion are capable of partial proof by the logic of mota. On the spiritual level of maximum status, the need for finite proof gradually disappears before the actual experience of reality, and in the presence of reality. But, even then, many things beyond the finite remain unproven.
103:7.11 (1139.3) All divisions of human thought are based on certain assumptions which, despite the lack of evidence, are accepted by the sensitivity to reality inherent in the mental endowment of man. Science begins its vaunted career of reasoning by assuming the reality of three things: matter, motion, and life. Religion begins with the assumption of the validity of three things: the mind, the spirit, and the universe—the Supreme Being.
103:7.12 (1139.4) Science fits the field of thought of mathematics, energy, and temporal matter in space. Religion does not claim to deal only with the temporal and finite spirit, but also with the spirit of eternity and supremacy. It is only through long experience of mota that these two extreme ways of perceiving the universe can be brought to yield analogous interpretations of origins, functions, relationships, realities, and destinies. It is by entering into the circuit of the Seven Master Spirits that the divergence between energy and spirit is harmonized to the maximum. The first unification of this divergence takes place in the Deity of the Supreme, and its unity of purpose is realized in the infinity of the First Source and Center, the I AM.
103:7.13 (1139.5) Reason is the act of recognizing the conclusions of consciousness regarding experience in and with the physical world of energy and matter. Faith is the act of recognizing the validity of spiritual consciousness—something that cannot be humanly proven in any other way. Logic is the synthetic progression of unity between faith and reason in search of truth; it is based on the constitutive mental endowments of mortals, the innate recognition of things, meanings and values.
Here, Melchiziedek uses logic instead of wisdom, logic is the synthetic progression of the unity between faith and reason, between spirit and matter. He should have kept the word wisdom. He could have said philosophy, but as far as we are concerned, the wisdom would have been better in place. I always progress in wisdom in unification of my being and with the being of God. I start on earth, but I continue to Heaven, so I progress. It is my soul that makes me progress or my religious experience, it is in this that I progress.
Reason makes me aware of material things, consciousness concerning experience in and with the physical world of energy and matter. I have always learned for a long time that reason educates matter and gives me awareness of matter. That faith is the act of recognizing the validity of spiritual consciousness. By faith, I studied that God was necessary to me as Spirit, as quality and value, of immortality, of eternity, so faith has already inspired me on that. I can know it only by the experience of faith and God will make himself known to me.
But there, they say that logic is the synthetic progression of the unity between faith and reason, it is wisdom, which unites the fact to God, the adjutant of wisdom. It is based on the mental faculties that constitute mortals, the innate recognition of things, meanings and values.
This famous wisdom is based on constitutive faculties in human beings, faculties that recognize matter, values (morality) and also factors that make the synthesis of the two. So this logic or wisdom is based on the mental faculties that are innate. Reason is innate to us, it is God who gives it to us and faith in God is also innate and the relationship of the two is also innate to us.
I really want to experience the reality of God in his being. Every human being can really manage to perceive these realities, matter and spirituality, value and quality, it is in me, God gave me all of this. But the relationship of the two by faith it is necessary that the two be reunited, one perceives it by faith- So, I have natural faculties to sense all this, the experience with God, the unification with God and God who answers. So, we have these things at the base and it is not immediately clear in humans, it is spiritual education that leads them to clarify these things more and more.
But the human being who goes in the street, even if he is an associate in science, he knows absolutely nothing, in physics or chemistry, it’s the same. Spiritual education must gradually bring him to discern these realities within himself. The life of these realities, the need for these realities, but if it is not brought in a careful, clear and progressive way, he is not aware of it. These faculties live in him and he knows nothing about them. He uses the adjutants, but he does not know it. It is the information that will bring him that attention. Anyone who is asked: tell me about your adjutant… what are you talking to me about? It is good to understand that we use it without knowing it, and, without knowing what it is for? If ever, we know now, we use them more intelligently. So the difference, it must be said, humans are equipped with everything, but do not use it. Spiritual education is to bring them to be aware of what is in them and to realize that this necessarily answers questions. We use it better and get by more. Religion is not a dogmatic affair, it is not true, it is a matter of instruction, of clarification, of understanding. Really, I want to know what I didn’t believe.
103:7.14 (1139.6) The presence of the Thought Adjuster provides effective evidence of spiritual reality. However, the validity of this presence is not demonstrable to the outer world, but only to the one who experiences this inner presence of God. The consciousness of having an Adjuster is based on the intellectual reception of truth, the supermind perception of goodness, and the personality motivation to love.
103:7.15 (1139.7) Science discovers the material world, religion evaluates it, and philosophy tries to interpret its meanings by co-ordinating the scientific material point of view with the religious spiritual concept. However, history is an area in which science and religion may never be able to fully agree.
There is, however, history in which science and religion may never be able to fully agree. History is the transformation of things from God’s point of view, the evolution of matter. The earth has changed and will change again. So if you take the earth really to its volcanic origins, those origins of this and that, and religion couldn’t work so much. While history, from this point of view, perhaps science and religion cannot agree, because one is there when the other is not yet there. Religion must wait until there are transformations of the earth to implant life there. The Urantia Book talks about it, we had to wait, science, transformations, the earth which was at the beginning almost a volcano which had to cool down, so science was there, but religion could not be present. This science was not unifiable and psr who? No being was there, we had to wait for the carriers of life to come to plant life there at the level of the sponges, so no religion!
So historically, religion could not yet work. We must let evolution take place in matter until intelligent human life can begin, then religion and science can begin to mix! So, in history, there were times when only science was there and not yet religion. This is how they disagree, and that is very understandable.
8. Philosophy and religion
103:8.1 (1140.1) Although science and philosophy can both admit the probability of God by their reason and logic, only a man, led by the spirit in his personal religious experience, can assert with certainty that this Deity supreme and personal exists. By the technique of such an embodiment of living truth, the philosophical assumption of the probability of God becomes a religious reality.
Who is the source of the ideas that resulted in facts? The philosophers do not answer it – He who has the religious experience knows and will know for sure that it is God who has made it. So the human being completes the philosophers, the religious experience completes the philosophers and also the scientists, but it is only the religious experience, the activity of really incarnating in the truth in us leads to being able to confirm with certainty the hypothesis of philosophy. It is always the sentences that came in another way that present in another way as well.
103:8.2 (1140.2) The confusion about the experiential certainty of God arises from the dissimilar interpretations and descriptions of that experience by distinct individuals and by men of different races. One may have had a very valid experience of God, but the discourses about God are intellectual and philosophical, therefore divergent and often specious to the point that one is lost in them.
It’s simple, each race, each culture can have its divine experience according to the way of these people. When we study the prophets, each had his own way of having his spiritual experience and of perceiving God. It has to be different for a lot of reasons, first of all, it’s not the same culture, it’s not the same era and it’s not the same personalities- So the difference doesn’t bother us No, It is certain that if two people speaking the same language have succeeded in a religious experience, they speak to each other and they understand each other despite the differences, they understand each other very well. Therefore, the difference should not surprise us and we should not insist too much on the interpretative discourses, but only on the affirmative testimonies of the spiritual experience. The interpretations are not good, they are all lost.
103:8.3 (1140.3) A good and noble man may be perfectly in love with his wife, but absolutely unable to pass satisfactorily a written examination on the psychology of marital love. Another man who loves his wife little or does not love his wife can pass this examination very honorably. The imperfect way in which the lover perceives the true nature of the loved object does not in the least invalidate the reality or the sincerity of his love.
103:8.4 (1140.4) If you truly believe in God — if you know and love him by faith — in no way allow the reality of this experience to be minimized or belittled by the dubious insinuations of science, the quibbles of logic, the postulates of philosophy or the clever suggestions of well-meaning souls who would like to create a religion without God.
103:8.5 (1140.5) The certainty of the God-knowing religionist should not be clouded by the uncertainty of the unbelieving materialist. Rather, it is the deep faith and unshakable certainty of the experiential believer that should issue a mighty challenge to the uncertainty of the unbeliever.
103:8.6 (1140.6) To render the greatest service to science and religion, philosophy should avoid the two extremes of materialism and pantheism. Only a philosophy which recognizes the reality of personality — permanence in the presence of change — can have moral value for man and serve as a bridge between the theories of material science and those of spiritual religion. The revelation comes to compensate for the weaknesses of the evolving philosophy.
The materialist says: I see no spirit in matter, no soul in this or that!
Pantheism says: I don’t believe in God because he has no forms.
It is through saying the personality that we can really see something stable in the human being. You can change jobs many times, you can get married many times, you can have many experiences in life, all these things are changes, but the personality of the individual has a constant value, a constant quality. So already this gives the notion, therefore, personality as a quality of value, the ability to conceive the value of existence, it is permanent, but the experience or experiences of the person change, but, c It is always the same personality which exists in the individual who makes these changes, it is a permanence. We must imagine ourselves on the side of God, it is a permanence, it is he who has given personality to the individual. He too contains this permanence. So, whatever changes God can make us experience, there is something permanent also in God- Everything changes, everything moves, what is permanent? There is nothing permanent, it is even in the Bible. Everything changes, everything changes.
So for the materialist, matter shows nothing stable, and pantheism, he sees that forms change. So, there is consciousness of the personality, heightened consciousness, already demonstrates in the human being that he has more consciousness of something that is stable and permanent. So that can lead him to the idea of a God who is permanent. Permanence in the presence of change must have a moral value for the human being and serve as a link between the theories of materialistic science, the values which change, and that of spiritual religion, the values which do not change.
The revelation comes to compensate for the weaknesses of the evolving philosophy. Philosophy in evolution, it always seeks to be the stable and real source of things. But still, she can’t. It must be the religious experience that leads to the revelation of God, that will allow us to know. Philosophy alone is insufficient, it will always ask the question: why and where is he? It is absolutely necessary the religious experience in which God reveals himself and it is by the revelation of god that we have knowledge and not by questioning. There are all kinds of philosophies, you just have to be able to live your philosophy, the one that suits you best.
9. The essence of religion
103:9.1 (1140.7) Theology is concerned with the intellectual content of religion; metaphysics (revelation) deals with its philosophical aspects. Religious experience is the spiritual content of religion. The spiritual experience of personal religion remains authentic and valid despite the mythological fantasies and psychological illusions of the intellectual content of religion, despite the erroneous assumptions of metaphysics and self-deceiving techniques, despite political distortions and socio-economic disguises of the philosophical content of religion.
Metaphysics and between parentheses revelation, it does not go together and why?
Melchiziédek uses words and the translators, it always moves in their heads! So you sweep that away and you only retain the essential idea: theology deals with the intellectual content of religion, these are religious doctrines. It’s none of our business! The metaphysics which according to revelation deals with philosophical aspects, we give to the metaphysics which according to revelation deals with philosophical aspects, we give revelation another meaning. That’s what’s interesting, that’s what’s coming. Religious experience is the spiritual content of religion, that’s all! it’s gossip about religion. Its terms are not very precise.
The spiritual experience of personal religion remains authentic and valid. When someone discusses, he knows what it is about, he says: I know, I live the thing and that’s all. despite the mythological fantasies and psychological illusions of the intellectual content of religion, despite the erroneous assumptions of metaphysics and the techniques of self-deception, despite the political distortions and socio-economic travesties of the philosophical content of religion.
Religions are economically distorted, religious wars are waged under political banners, as in Arabia (2006). All this is not interesting for someone who lives religion by personal experience. All the remaining, then, are elements that do not encumber those who really know religion in its essence, in religious experience. So if that really gets away from all possible errors, metaphysics in theology or in religion or in money, religion, politics, it gets away from it. So this paragraph contains only one interesting thing, authentic personal spiritual experience. When it’s there, it’s there, he knows what he’s talking about!
103:9.2 (1140.8) Religion is not only about ways of thinking, but also about ways of feeling, acting, and living. Thought is more closely related to material life; it should mainly, but not completely, be dominated by reason and by the facts of science; it should be so by the truth in its immaterial extensions towards the realms of the spirit. Whatever the illusions and errors of your theology, your religion can be completely authentic and eternally true.
There, Melchizedek alludes to the original Buddhism, there too, it is necessary to give a precision. Buddhism at the time of its departure had as its philosophy the elimination of the problems of life. Sorrows, disappointments, pains, etc., so the Buddhist philosophers at the beginning understood that we have sufferings because we are sensitive to the world. To remove these sufferings, it suffices to no longer be sensitive. It is therefore the desensitization, the desensitization of the individual. We teach you to (Excuse me) give a fuck about everything! Money, women, detaching from everything, so obviously this detachment puts you in a situation, you are no longer voluntarily connected to anything, you fall into non-will, it’s the state of nirvana, therefore, you do not need to search, it will make you an effort of will- At the beginning we a religion, you can’t call it that. It was a philosophy without God, that has changed now. Modern b Buddhists speak only of a divine reality to be attained. Since they want examples of this, even today’s Buddhism is no longer such.
Religion without faith is a contradiction. Faith is a goal, a goal that satisfies needs, those needs that express themselves through faith. One cannot have a faith, the will to be something, which one calls god or which one calls otherwise, it is necessary especially who has that, within the framework of this reflection, one calls God. The faith that has no God is really a contradiction. Religion without faith is a contradiction, religion without God is an incompatibility, philosophically it cannot be. Religion by definition seeks a God. Religion without god is unthinkable, it is absurd. These are purely intellectual discussions.
103:9.4 (1141.2) The magical and mythological origin of natural religion invalidates neither the reality nor the truth of the later religions of revelation nor the perfect saving gospel of the religion of Jesus. The life and teachings of Jesus permanently stripped religion of the superstitions of magic, the illusions of mythology, and the bondage of traditional dogmatism. But primitive magic and mythology had very effectively prepared the way for a later and higher religion by admitting the existence and reality of supermaterial values and beings.
We continue the discussion! It is too intellectual in this presentation, it could have been simple and direct.
103:9.4 (1141.2) The magical and mythological origin of natural religion invalidates neither the reality nor the truth of the later religions of revelation, nor the perfect saving gospel of the religion of Jesus,
What’s wrong with this presentation? magical and mythological! We cannot criticize in this blameworthy way something that we are going to accept below! Because further down he says: But primitive magic and mythology had very effectively prepared the way for a later and superior religion by admitting the existence and reality of supermaterial values and beings. Fortunately, it was magic and mythology that paved the way for religion! Those words first are really useless.
It only has to be said, that men had an evolutionary religion, it was obligatory, they were not prepared. They believed in the sun, but it evolved into wanting to know even the Creator of the sun and that’s it! Believing in magic, in the possibility of producing extraordinary things in nature, Jesus did it by miracles. This gospel of Jesus he is defending here, but Jesus did it himself and had a religion behavior of the time. So, don’t push the review too hard just to install something that is not good, he wants to tell the truth better: human thought evolves. But in time, she could only attach herself to natural and magical ways and as time went by, the question arose of a Creator in relation to revealed religion. There are discussions that are far-fetched!
A revealer really needs to be on a higher level, this debate is a bit down to earth. It must be said that humans have evolved. What we will study next. We will study evolutionary religion, the original men, Andon and Fonta, were uneducated. >They could only do within their means, but evolution gradually led to additional and highly prepared instructions being provided. Human beings have also benefited. It doesn’t have to be that harsh. These are philosophical discussions that give rise to intellectual debates in universities and for pages of revelations, we could have done without!
103:9.5 (1141.3) Although religious experience is a purely spiritual subjective phenomenon, such experience involves a positive and living attitude of faith toward the highest realms of objective universe reality. The ideal of religious philosophy is a faith-trust capable of bringing man to wholehearted dependence upon the absolute love of the Infinite Father of the universe of universes. This authentic religious experience far transcends the philosophical objectification of idealistic desires; it does take salvation for granted and is concerned only with learning and doing the will of the Paradise Father. This religion is characterized by faith in a supreme Deity, the hope of eternal survival, and love, especially love of one’s fellow beings.
Although religious experience is a purely spiritual, subjective phenomenon within my life. If it is really this God that I want, his nature, his thought, his will. However, this experience involves a positive and living attitude of faith toward the highest realms of universal objective reality. Although it is interior, it still has an objective, what is it: to be God! Knowing God, resembling God, God is the universal truth of things. Sometimes it is a repetition and it is repeated in a simpler way. The religious experience, it is interior, even in objective, that of knowing God. A search which has become in our being necessary, absolutely necessary. We feel that Melchiziedek is not a man, he repeats things, but in another way. Faith is already an ideal of a philosophy (of a wisdom), the philosophy of being like God. Philosophy means here, my intentions, my projects etc. Faith is a philosophical ideal, but it is alive, it must be experienced to have results what we find that by experiencing, it is God, the Universe, the Adjuster is like the Father.
This authentic religious experience far transcends the philosophical objectification of idealistic desires, there, we do not really know what he means, because from the point of view of French, the objectification of a thing is to take this real thing, then, what does he mean by the philosophical objectification of idealistic desires? in any case, if he means that the fact of realizing these ideals and he only has to realize these ideals, that is all, it is his faith!
It does take salvation for granted and is concerned only with learning and doing the will of the Paradise Father. Someone who can seek God by faith, correct faith, knows that already God is ready to answer. My faith leads me to seek immortality, eternity, infinity. But when I reflect on things and I know that it is God who created me and that I know that he is in me to give himself to me, for me, I have conviction. I just have to experiment and I have results. When we start walking, we are convinced that we can move, if we did not have the conviction, we would not go!
When someone begins to experience faith, he has the conviction that God will respond. But, if the man does nothing, there is no response, but inside he hopes that Diu will respond. If I start walking, I know that there is one step that will come after another! Otherwise, I won’t walk! You can really put it in a simple way, like; if a man eats, he is convinced that he will digest, otherwise he does not eat! This conviction is not demonstrated, it is experienced.
So that’s what he means, If anyone seeks God, he has faith and he has the conviction that God will answer.
This religion is characterized by faith in a supreme Deity, the hope of eternal survival, and love, especially love of one’s fellow beings. Of course, without seeking eternity, I need love. It’s childish! There, it is especially the love of one’s fellow men; (why is that here, that has nothing to do there, anyway, it’s already acquired since we’ve been working there, it’s only “happy” repetition of what has already been said, there are paragraphs that could have been deleted, it’s already said before.)
Well, it doesn’t matter, maybe one day you will have LU readers and with these indications you can help better. You can refer to it.
103:9.6 (1141.4) When theology dominates religion, religion dies; it becomes a doctrine instead of a life. The mission of theology is simply to facilitate awareness of personal spiritual experience. Theology is the religious effort to define, clarify, expound, and substantiate the experiential claims of religion which, in the final analysis, can only be validated by living faith. In the higher philosophy of the universe, wisdom and reason are combined with faith. Reason, wisdom and faith are the highest human achievements. Reason makes man penetrate into the world of facts, of things; there wisdom makes him enter a world of truth, of relationships; faith introduces him to a world of divinity, of spiritual experience.
103:9.7 (1141.5) Faith willingly takes reason as far as reason can go; faith then continues its way with wisdom to its full philosophical limit; after that, she dares to embark on the limitless and endless journey of the universe, in the sole company of the truth.
Faith willingly takes reason as far as reason can go = how far thought can go.
Faith, of course, is the knowledge and willingness to know God from within by ideals based on experience. So faith brings reason, I repeat, if I know my being, what is in my being, there is moral life, family and social experience, but also in my life , there is the understanding of God’s love, God’s goodness and Divine Mercy. But, I still ask questions, is that where the goodness of God ends? No, it is always giving me existence and life, not a single existence here, a single life, but successive existences and lives up to Him. So the next life, how is it going to compare to this one? Look at this one, it is significant, but it contains assumptions for its own improvement. This life is alive and mortal, its improvement would be what? immortality. So, this life happens in time, time erases everything, so what would you want? I want an eternal permanent life, therefore this life contains the plan of other lives. It is prolonged, it is not destroyed, it is prolonged, it progresses and it is transformed and this other life, what we have in the content of faith. Now, I want to satisfy this other life that faith describes in me, needs for immortality, need for eternity, so what should I do? Experiencing the nature of God, I must continually open myself to be penetrated by the nature of God, the life of God, by the immortality of God, by the eternity of God. I must ask God for it, God gives it to me as he gave me moral life, he is going to give me spiritual life. And I ask for it, to experience is to ask, but this demand is not satisfied all at once, because it comes little by little, the progressive element is important. There are a lot of people he wants right away, they are of good will, but they are in a hurry. They believed to ask for a faith that is enough, it is the error of religion. You have to say the individual; No, it’s a job that is quite progressive and takes time. Because it is a potential that he gives you to transform this potential into activity.
Really when a child becomes a teenager, the duration of adolescence easily goes from 13 years to 20 years and even more, it is worked on daily. You really have to persuade people of this element of progression. Of which always bothers, this that we believe that as soon as we ask God it must be there. The human being has a progressive thought, his thought presents itself in a certain way and it takes time for him to reach the immediate thought which is the spiritual thought, therefore, it takes time to satisfy the human thought completely. People have to assimilate this notion of progression. – With faith, with that of themselves who must want, when it was done almost without their knowledge, it took 9 months for the infant to grow. It takes 12 years to go from infant through childhood to adolescence, 12 years of growth and another 7 years of growth to reach adulthood. There are durations, people must be instructed in the durations of transformation. It doesn’t come all at once! So, since they are the ones who must trigger the operation, they must repeat the request, the more they repeat, the more they accelerate growth. The quantity of requests for repetitions of the experiment will determine the speed of the implementation. It depends on humans. Ask, ask, ask, always ask! The more to do it intentionally, the faster it comes, but only once brings nothing at all, at least nothing good!
So really, that length of time is necessary for things to be done in a full and complete fashion. Because, if I tell my wife: I want a child right away, then there’s no need to get married. It takes at least 9 months to experience. It’s the same, you can’t have your soul fully expressed in a request, it’s impossible. Once people get used to it, they talk a lot about life and progression, you have to show them that it takes time. However, this time is much shorter when working intensely, or longer when working with more relaxation. So, it is good to insist on this, so reason supports faith up to the level of experience, so it is God who gives himself to the individual. How and in what way, reason does not know. She is forced to withdraw to the gates of experience. It is the experience itself that continues the journey.
Faith then continues on its way with wisdom to its full philosophical limit; It is the experience of faith that begins to continue on its way until the individual has nothing more to do than to wait for God every day.
After that, she dares to embark on the limitless and endless journey of the universe, in the company of the truth alone. There, the formulations are not good, but what he calls the truth is the unification of God and the human. When the human being has first attained this unification, Adjuster fusion, then he continues in the system, in the constellation, in the local universe, then in the Superuniverse on Paradise, he continue his work. Melchizedek does not give precision and the philosophical limit, no one can understand, it must be put in the sequence of time.
He can experience divine up to the fusion with his Adjuster, that’s the highest level one can reach on earth, then he goes to Satania, that’s another setting, he’ll get into it. also to work on his relationship with God, the truth. When the system is satisfied, it goes to the constellation. Presented in this way, the person can understand the progression and apply their relationship with God, these are the different levels of truth.
If he presents like that, people can understand, but it can be so abstract that people can’t imagine and then it’s wrong. You really have to present things in a fairly clear way.
So, we start with reason, it is replaced by faith, faith is replaced by experience, experience is replaced by progress, this is said very simply. In the formulations, you can annoy the students, but it is nothing more than that. We only start with reason and reason leads to faith, reason makes me know who I am, but when I ask the question: by whom am I that? then the answer to that is faith winning him through spiritual experience. And when this spiritual experience is acquired and it continues through the journey of progress in the universe, the superuniverse up to Paradise.
103:9.8 (1141.6) Science (knowledge) is based on the inherent assumption (adjutant spirit) that reason is valid, that the universe is comprehensible. Philosophy (coordinated understanding) is based on the inherent assumption (wisdom mind) that wisdom is valid, that it is possible to coordinate the material universe with the spiritual. Religion (the truth of personal spiritual experience) is based on the inherent assumption (the Thought Adjuster) that faith is valid, that God is knowable and attainable.
Science (knowledge) is based on the inherent assumption (the adjutant mind) that reason is valid, = in other words, that by the human being simply has the adjutant of understanding, that’s all. Yes, the sentence sounds very complicated, but it does not say that, that man has the adjutant of understanding, we have already studied that. that the universe is capable of being understood, but we are talking about ourselves, why always say the universe? people do not embrace the universe, they embrace their beings; these are words of impossible reflection. Man does not know the universe from the outset, I don’t know why he puts that in front of man, man can really know the part of the universe which is his body, his being. The human being cannot embrace the universe, not even the local universe. It really is a denial of the rationality of thought, you have to present things so that thought can understand.
“Knowledge is based on the adjutant understanding that reason is valid, because it can understand everything, that’s all! »
Philosophy (coordinated understanding) is based on the inherent assumption (wisdom mind) that wisdom is valid, that it is possible to coordinate the material universe with the spiritual. For us, it is very simple, when we say that the being we have received does not come from us! It comes from another source and this source, I may add and morally.
There is a way of presenting things clearly, truly, my being is thus coordinated with God. God is its source and God is equally benevolent, he gave it to me in Goodness in Love and in Mercy. These two times coordinated, I morally have a benefactor and this is how it can become clear. If you apply it to the universe, humans don’t walk, humans don’t see the local universe, it’s inaccessible to their thoughts. Nobody sees the whole universe, we don’t even see the whole earth. So, if you want to reason on the basis of the universe, it becomes a bit difficult and when you want to instruct individuals, you have to take the trouble to be understandable, it is necessary. The human being can find in himself the wisdom of this coordination between his being and what he wants to become.
Religion (the truth of personal spiritual experience) is based on the inherent assumption (the Thought Adjuster) that faith is valid, that God is knowable and attainable. We can say it really better: “I recognize by my faith that God loves me and that he is even obliged to give me, to give himself to me”. We have studied the Adjuster, he says it well, the Adjuster is really eager for man to make the choice. It is much clearer this way, God came to dwell in me even before I had knowledge. For what ? He wants to manifest himself through me, it is his immense joy to bestow himself through my being.
These are philosophical formulations that truly do not hint at truth or divine reality!
103:9.9 (1141.7) The full realization of the reality of human life consists in a progressive willingness to believe these assumptions of reason, wisdom, and faith. Such a life is motivated by truth and dominated by love, which are the ideals of objective cosmic reality whose existence cannot be materially demonstrated.
There he again puts on the assumption, when one is already fully aware of this full realization, because one has given consent, one is already in faith.
SO ; when someone reasons about him, it is a first aspect, he has just discovered the wisdom, the coordination of his being with his creator, he admits, and he discovers again that this creator is in him and to manifest himself through he, he discovers all that, that’s how we work together. That I am a being created and organized as I am is a fact, I am not my creator, so I received it and that this creator is in me and he wants to give himself to me. I’m sure, okay with all that and I’ll get to work!
This coordination as I say, when you look through the human being as God created it, it is clearer than a fairly twisted formulation. It’s more humanly clear than Melchizedek wants to say.
It is good that we approach this language of Melchiziedek to put it back into human language. The readers of the URANTIA Book must be helped a little not to be left confused or tormented by formulations which the seeker himself may come up with in another way when it can be said more clearly. The things we already know, we take the trouble to know our being, that is the reason, and we wonder where this being comes from, the wisdom, the coordination, the source and why this being created me Thus ? And why would he be in me to give himself to me? it is the experience of God. The more I do it, the more I will know this creator, why he created and how he created. So, it is more clearly understandable starting from the human being himself and it is well founded in the consciousness of the human because he can immediately check all this to validate. So, the human is not there to daydream and reading the book does them not only good. The fundamental question how to tune the Universe to God, what is the Universe? So, this creates tendencies of intellectualism which tires the human without result. With these truths of coordination, energy, spirit, therefore, if the individual starts clearly from himself, he will finally understand. What is happening even in the Universe and the Grand Universe, I am afraid it will tire in vain.
103:9.10 (1142.1) Once reason recognizes right and wrong, it exhibits wisdom; when wisdom chooses between right and wrong, between truth and error, it demonstrates the guidance of the spirit. This is how the roles of mind, soul and spirit are always closely united and functionally associated. Reason deals with the knowledge of facts; wisdom deals with philosophy and revelation; faith deals with living spiritual experience. Through truth man attains beauty, and through spiritual love he rises to goodness.
Of course, that’s normal. So wisdom chooses between right and wrong, between truth and error, it demonstrates the guidance of the spirit. It is management and self-knowledge. We know these things very easily and the guidance of the spirit recognizes it when we have recognized that it has given us all in goodness, love and mercy and is willing to add more. We don’t need to know the error, we only need to know the truth! He gives us this and will add, I don’t need the error or to be wrong. Here, the truth is justified, no need for other things. In conception to Melchiziédek, I do not know why, it is necessary to know the error, because Melchiziédek himself does not know it! Sometimes he seems to put himself on a human level, sometimes he puts himself on a sub-human level without reasoning, it’s weird. (let’s not forget that he was on Urantia, a long time ago).
But when the individual knows the true, he does not need to know the false. It’s like he’s stepping back from what he knows. The real thing is what…? – is that I am a creature made in a certain way, but that I am not my creator, it is true. I received it out of kindness, love and mercy and it’s true, I don’t need to know anything else. And all this so that my Creator can give me more, so there is no need for error. We can push the reflection: what will he give me, it depends on what you ask him! Let him know your needs, so there is no need for error either.
It is perhaps possible that when we look at the ignorant, uneducated man, who wants to seek God and who has no road, he will be mistaken because he does not know the way. But if he knows the way, he doesn’t have to be wrong!
There is a clear way to bring the human being to divine truth in a straight line! but if the man does not know much. It is not necessary to suffer through error, to go through the false to arrive at the true. The error does not make me see the truth, it tells me that I am not on the right path. But what is the right path, there, it remains based on consistency.
According to me (Moussa), Melchizedek, did not penetrate well what is said the growth in man, the errors are not necessary, that can even stop the growth. Growth has its straight line. Because even for a growing child, mistakes would be sickness, sickness only delays things and we have to heal. Without gives nothing, the delay is a waste. God has not programmed either the false or the error, he wants us to grow. The growth is really gradual on its own. I think this Melchizedek does not know how to explain the progression even at the level of thought, he is peremptory. He speaks truths, but not simply and then incomprehensible to a human being.
Students will see that the path from human to superhuman only happens in worlds of joy, it is in a joyful process that it happens. Of course, the church errs and leads others into error.
Wisdom deals with philosophy and reason, it deals with coordinating science with religion.
Faith deals with the living spiritual experience, faith must lead me to live with God the ideals that I expect from God, immortality, eternity, infinity.
Through truth, the human being attains beauty, through love, he rises to goodness. Truth is relationship with God. If I take care of my relationship with God, beauty is the thought of harmony. I receive harmonized thoughts between God and me. And through spiritual love, when I understood that God loves me and I love him, the human being also rises to kindness, it is a concept, love to others.
There, the presentation is a little reversed.
103:9.11 (1142.2) Faith leads to knowing God and not merely to a mystical sense of the divine presence. Faith should not be unduly influenced by its emotional consequences. True religion is the experience of believing and knowing, as well as a satisfaction of feeling.
Faith leads us to the divine reality to know the nature of God, his will. So this is not human mysticism, this is true knowledge of God!
You can have very strong emotional moments with your feelings, but you shouldn’t make a story out of it!
Yes, especially those who say they fall into ecstasy or trance; it is inner contentment or even imagination that replaces truth. We imagine ourselves to be a thing instead of being. We delude ourselves, this can be accompanied by physical states of fatigue. Especially by religious practices 2 which are really mysticism, even the repetition of OHM ohm ohm to enter a trance, but also Allah, Allah, Allah or Gregorian chants. By dint of imagining things you build up your emotions and you believe you are the thing, when the base is only emotional. It is only a basis of reason and faith involved God, your emotion, your sensitivity played. We must avoid those forms of religion that will deceive us. Believing to have arrived at something, we have arrived at nothing at all! There are many in the world, unfortunately.
So religion really leads to believing and knowing, believing reality, knowing reality. Yes, but believing is already behind!
103:9.12 (1142.3) There is a reality in religious experience which is proportionate to its spiritual content, and this reality is transcendent to reason, science, philosophy, wisdom, and all other human accomplishments.
If it is God who is behind, he transcends all these levels, it is through which I pass to arrive at God. Reason, wisdom, above all faith, is what I need to get there. But God is beyond that. I pass and this is how I come to God.
Truly, reason first, then wisdom, then faith and there is experience, experience is the open door for God to come. So, until then they are means, instruments, scaffolding for me to pass. But HE is above all that. This is the normal way to receive God, but when I receive God, I realize that he is more than faith. He is the substance of what faith hoped for, he is more than wisdom, wisdom had led me to the spiritual experience, he is more than reason, reason which led me to faith. When God comes, I realize that his goodness, when I get there, is something other than the means.
The path is different from the outcome, it’s not what we believe! (that’s why this word to believe always moved me!)
The convictions resulting from this experience are unshakeable; the logic of religious life defies all contradiction;
Once you know God, really, there is nothing that can deflect you from it, you have the answer to everything!
The certainty of his knowledge is superhuman;
God is truly superhuman, reason, wisdom, faith, experience, these are the human means, but when you are there, he is above all that. It was necessary and it is still necessary and it will remain necessary!
The satisfactions which accompany it are magnificently divine; courage is indomitable, devotion is unconditional,
We give ourselves to God without reserve, because the consideration is worth it!
Loyalties are supreme (I must be that, otherwise I am nothing. Therefore, I am faithful to myself)
And destinies are final – eternal, ultimate and universal.
